Don’t get this one at all. We’ll have Andrey Santos and Ugo to return in the summer to add to Lavia in the deep midfield role. Even if we don’t think Ugo is good enough for Chelsea (which I don’t) we’re still well stocked there. Feels like yet another young talent hoarding signing where he’ll be flipped in a couple of years.

I feel like it has more to do with beating United to the punch rather than anything. We signed Nkunku, Pulisic, and Ziyech, to name three, way before the summer window even opened. In theory it might seem like a wise idea, but I'd always advise on waiting till the season is over before agreeing deals to sign first team players (free transfers aside).By LAM09
