Briefing has gone out to all the reliable reporters now. To me, this would be the sort of signing for a squad that’s in need of a refresh. I absolutely REFUSE to believe that Tel would be the profile of target that Maresca has said to the board that we need. We’re a squad that’s already filled with young players who are inconsistent. Why add yet another teenager? Especially one like Tel who appears not to have a well defined position. Nkunku hasn’t worked out as well as we all hoped in the PL, but swapping a highly experienced player like him for a totally unproven kid would be another face palm move from our transfer committe

He will find out when he grows up. 😅 Striker, apparently, but can also play on the wings. He's 6ft tall as well. Agreed in principle, but Nkunku did not work out. Either system, and/or injuries, but he's disappointing to watch.
