Players will know that and wont be arsed to work in training, they will keep moaning how tough it is to train, poor babies. Either sack him right now or support him fully. This is my take on things, but I think the club will be actually seeking a replacement as I type and sounding out potential replacements. I think, like the transfer policy, anyone will do. They have to be prepared if we lose to WBA, or whenever the time they think is right. Very rare you see managers getting sacked without the club having a replacement more or less lined up. David Luiz aside, there are no stories about Conte having problems with the squad, but its widely report that the relationship between Conte and The Board have deteriorated since Diego Costa situation back in past summer. If Conte leaves, it will be more related with his poor relationship with people running the club and his lack of focus after became clear he is not in the club's plans for next season. I really don't know why at this point someone would come up with such stupid insinuations. I love RA for all he did for this club and he seems genuine fan too, but he should not be involved in the football stuff at all. You can only succeed with average players for so long. At some point every top team needs top signings that rejuvenate a squad and a manager. Giroud is uninspiring. Emerson is uninspiring. These would have been good signings if they were along with a marquee player, but not by themselves. When was the last time we signed a 'marquee' attacking player? Hazard is probably the last one. I'm not saying Conte doesn't deserve any blame at all. But the lack of quality in this squad is genuinely shocking and this hasn't been addressed at all in the past 3 years. 2 league title wins were papers over the cracks that are the lack of overall quality in the squad. Conte knows we need more world class players, I only wonder how bad things need to get for this club till the board does as well...
