Even if Alonso rejects us and Iraola chooses Palace, I doubt we'd actually hire Marco Silva even though he's the other name on the shortlist. The last resort might be Filipe Luis since the board likes him.

Cesc is definitely interested. A big round of interviews with Matt Law, Rory Jennings in the week the Chelsea job becomes available talking about his work at Como, future. Como President saying they wouldn't stand in his way. All this is adding up to me as Cesc is interested. Of course, he is looking to get a fair amount of control if he's gonna join.

If we get embarrassed by both Iraola and Alonso I feel like we’d try to save face by going all out for Cesc despite him not really wanting to leave Como yet. Probably make him an offer he couldn’t really refuse.
