Haaland to city and mbappe staying away from Madrid highlights la Ligas failure to wrestle back the power from the premier league Like they did in 2009 with Ronaldo and kaka

What sucks even more for them is that there’s no Plan B superstars out there as a consolidation prize for Madrid. They’ve been planning for Mbappe for years now. Probably Haaland, too.

Now unless Salah decides to leave Liverpool or some young talents decide they want to go there they’re fucked pretty soon since all their important players are old as hell.

If any of this stuff is true then they have set a very dangerous precedent for the future.

He's 23 years old. What are they going to give him in 2 years time and this starts back up again?

The funny thing is if they took that money and built a team instead of this obsession with superstar signings, they might have a more solid and sustainable base from which to challenge for the Champions League.

I was disappointed losing Courtois, heartbroken to lose Hazard, and frustrated we're now losing Rudiger but I'd much rather the club draw a line in the sand with how far they're willing to push.

IF true

that is around £1.1 BILLION gross pay-out over 5 years

that is insane

but, in the overall scheme of things

pocket change when you compare it to multi billionaires wealth

the really troubling part is:

He will help decide the coach.

He will have a say on the sporting director.

He can approve signings and sales

remember my series of rants long ago about how Real could possible semi collapse, and how all the big clubs should block them from signing all the huge players?

So far the only things that have went in their favour from stopping that (to a point) is Benz having insane seasons at an advanced age, and Vini Jr finally playing to a WC level at times

the only add so far is (unfortunately) Rudiger, grrrrrrr, but they have had multiple huge misses now

the last 3 years they have added (good buys in bold) (the only added players missing if you go back even 4 years, not 3 , are Vini and Cuntois)

Eduardo Camavinga  (this is on potential, he is not a starter for them atm)
Reinier (potentially, but he did almost nothing at Dortmund on loan)
David Alaba
Eden Hazard   (massive bust)
Luka Jović  (massive bust)
Éder Militão  (meh, absolutely not sold on him at all, but he is not a bust by any means)
Ferland Mendy
Rodrygo (finally seems to be playing better, but could perhaps go into the bsut category)

but they also have lost

Achraf Hakimi
Theo Hernández
Mateo Kovacic
Marcos Llorente

Raphaël Varane
Sergio Ramos (would be bold, but he is aged out)
Sergio Reguilón
Keylor Navas
James
Raúl de Tomás
Martin Ødegaard
Gareth Bale  (leaves on a free, has been so poor lately)

those losses BLOW away those adds IMHO

All reports seem to suggest Poch and Leonardo will both be leaving so there is definitely legs to this rumour.

There's also talk he wants PSG to sign Dembele and to let Neymar leave. Again, I guess we'll have a better idea as the summer maps out.

It's an horrendous position PSG have put themselves in though if it's indeed true.

Lets play som Football Manager.  Get the French trio Kounde (55£m), Tchouameni(60£m), Dembele(free), then add Perisic(free), Koulibaly(30£m), Hazard(loan) and Lewa(30£m).

Out:  Jorginho(30£m), ALonso(10£m), Azpi(free), Rudiger(free), Christensen(free), Barkley(15£m), Lukaku (60£m), Pulisic(45£m) and Werner(35£m)

We also have Sarr, Bakayoko, Emerson and Batshuayi that we can sell.

Feel Tchouameni is a huge downgrade from Jorginho.

Boubacar Kamara will sign with Aston Villa.

We HAVE to sign either Aurélien Tchouaméni (my preferred option, but Pool and now, post Mbappe miss-out, Real even more so than before, are both after him hard, so he will be a tough AF pull) or (bite the bullet and pay £100m) Rice this summer.

lol, how so? He is loads more athletic, is just starting to reach into  his potential bag, is FAR better defensively, has great footballing sense and skills, and can play multiple positions.

Jorginho is a human traffic jam and is often overrun defensively.

If we miss out....

We can try for Bissouma...

The disrespect smh. There is no point arguing with someone who downplays a player of Jorginho stature and accomplishment, while elevating Tchouaméni who has done nothing. Ndombele and Bakayoko were all supposed to be the next great thing.

I wouldn’t mind signing Tchouaméni, but how about he proves something before we sell a strong performer on this team.

Can't believe you even replied.

Like comparing Xavi to Joe Allen.
