If we buy Lukaku for £100m, I don't ever want to hear again that Summer 2017 was on Conte when since then we have brought Kepa for £72m and then potentially doing this.

Ironically Conte wanted Lukaku 🤣

What the hell? How come we've made two bids for Lukaku but we haven't made a single bid for Haaland? Very confusing stuff

There is a huge week in front of us. It's make or break for Marina and the board.

Yeah, but the club gave him Morata instead. Kind of sums up why I find it amazing so many people think Conte was directing the transfers. Personally, Lukaku in Conte's counter attack system makes sense, in Tuchel's counter attacker/high press one it makes no sense.

A player like Lukaku would force his way into the starting XI (esp at this price tag), which would disrupt the system that should be improved upon, not undone.

Unless we get Haaland, who just fits in any system because he's got everything in his game, I'd rather go with a younger FW hungry for success... similar to the current squad.

He is but just like Tammy is frustrating us, it was the same with Lukaku and United fans.

But at United he didn't play in a well-organized attacking setup, especially under Mourinho the whole team were all over the place. He's also improved as a player since then, and I don't see many Inter fans being frustrated with Lukaku.

He might not be the most technical striker out there but he's a lot better than Tammy in most aspects of the game.

Lukaku or Haaland they would be number one guy and undroppable just like Kai is going to be. So that is Pulisic, Mount, Ziyech, Werner all fighting for one spot? Plus CHO.

Summary of what Matt Law said for anyone interested:

- Lukaku back on top of the wanted list of STs with Dortmund showing no sign of budging on Haaland

- Club are ready to make an official bid for Kounde but want to sell a CB first with Zouma the likeliest to leave

- Club willing to listen to offers for Abraham, Loftus-Cheek, Alonso and CHO (The Secret Scout said CHO isn't for sale. So take your side on that one)

- Tuchel is believed to be relaxed about the club's transfer activity and has not used the CL win as an attempt to leverage more power or transfer funds from the club

- Lukaku and Inter have said he will stay in Milan but the club not deterred from trying to make a deal happen as Inter have financial difficulties

- Inter's asking price for Lukaku is currently well above what the club would be prepared to pay for him (no mention of the price)

- Lukaku will not push for a move. Inzaghi has been consulting Lukaku over Inter's transfer plans and his expectations for the new season, which has been welcomed by the player

- If Inter do not budge, then Tuchel hasn't ruled out the prospect of starting the season with Havertz and Werner as his first-choice strikers

- Arsenal interested in signing Abraham. Club also braced for a bid from Aston Villa should Grealish move to Man City

- CHO faces uncertain future this month with the club willing to sell but his £120k p/w wages means only a handful of clubs could afford to make a meaningful offer for him

- Loftus-Cheek ideally wants to stay this season but a move, either permanently or another loan, looks more likely at the moment

- Alonso, Barkley, Zappacosta, Batshuayi, Kenedy, Drinkwater, Bakayoko, Baba Rahman are, among others, players the club are willing to sell or loan out this month

If Conte didn't want them then why did he give them chance after chance? (He demonstrated with Michy that he had no qualms ignoring genuine board signings), Infact why did he look at reuniting with a couple of them at Inter?

Yep, ditching an incredibly promising system for Lukaku of all players would kill the good feeling I have for this season instantly.

Really hope Inter stay strong.
