This is actually a great point and something that I have been thinking about too, and something that scares me. These players are super talented and I don't want them to be wasted, absolutely not. Lampard may be a great persuasive power but to actually coach them and develop them... He's got one year, this season.

It would look completely different if he did. He wanted this, and he got this. Granted, Spurs aren't helped by the fixture congestion but they played their second team, we played somewhere close to our best XI and yet, we were awful for most of the game. We got the goal and that was it. Rarely threatened until some moments towards the end. Otherwise, we didn't even put them away. We made Spurs' second XI look decent. communicate
Hutcho 8,443
Kante came on and was our most attacking centre/holding mid which says it all about Kova and jorginho today slowing the play down Muzchap

He's not experienced enough for this job just like Ole at Man UTD, tired of watching a team of calibre that we have miss place so many passes, and turn into scarecrows when it times to defend. Why does this keep happening? Lampard just has another excuse for an individual error but we are seeing this week in week out. No doubt there will be another one in a few days time. Alonso ia freaking slow, lets pair him with our slowest cb Silva. Emerson bad positioning is common knowledge, he came on, we conceded goal because of emerson bad positioning. 🤔🤔

Penalty is a lottery. Anyway, not bothered about Carabao Cup this year when the season is so packed. At least helps free up fixture congestion in December. Would say not being concerned about a cup would be a luxury we could afford if we were going to win the title or something or if we had already won one or two this season but its a trophy and realistically this group needs to win something together to get the taste for them. Packed fixtures or not. Because we most likely arent going to win the CL and aren’t going to win the league unfortunately. Not that we dont have an outside chance but we lack the mentality and quite frankly dont have the ability to win these gritty games that championship winning teams do when they play shit. FA cup or Carabao cup would be ones that would build this group a bit and push them on.
Popular Post! Azul 1,615 Posted September 29, 2020 Popular Post! Share Posted September 29, 2020 I'm really worried about Lampard. I wish he would succeed since he probably is my fav football player together with Drogba, but it's so hard to watch his side play. It looks like the players don't have a clue what they're doing. prehuman, kellzfresh, 0007 and 3 others
Popular Post! Pizy 18,918 Posted September 29, 2020 Popular Post! Share Posted September 29, 2020 Couldn't care less about the League Cup but I am definitely concerned about our play. I know it's early, I know there was no preseason, I know players are getting used to each other, and I know we're still missing a few, but the style of play reminds me a lot of the stale Chelsea sides of recent years. We look like a side of individuals rather than a cohesive unit. And we still play so laboriously. There's no crispness to our play. It's slow and sloppy. Disjointed between the midfield and attack. Even sides with nowhere near our quality like Leeds, Wolves, Leicester etc look more fluid and confident than we do. That's gotta be on the manager. Need to see major improvement in the next couple of matches or the talk has to ratchet up about whether Frank is qualified for a job this big. bohops, Muzchap, kellzfresh and 2 others

Hutcho 8,443
We didn't even defend too badly with Tomori and zouma Chillwell and azpi were solid. I don't agree with us letting them dictate second half but they didn't create too much.

He is by far my favourite ever player but you can see how he lacks the expericne to be a top coach right now. This job came too soon for him. Lets hope he somehow comes up yet with some Eureka moment but i dont see it happening. Anyway, we should be thankful for him for getting all these great talents here. The club could really have gone way down the wrong route without this summer of great buys. Lets also hope the board identifies a coach to continue his legacy at some point. Special Juan 28,141
What annoys me tonight is not going out is the fact we have once again lacked killer instinct to kill a team off, but not just that, we lack fight and spine. iceboy and Vesper

This squad is too expensive for an inexperienced manager to be given time to "Grow" into it now. It was fine when we had a ban and were just bleeding in new talent, but with Timo, with Ziyech, With Havertz its a different animal now.
