RoyalBlues 4,050
In the first leg, they were the better team and I think we did very well to get a 1-1 draw, in all truth. In the second leg, we were negative. Mourinho's tactics cost us, but you have to commend PSG. They out-Chelsea'd us. They did to us what we did to Barcelona. It can be harder playing against ten men when they are so fired up. However I maintain a more attacking display that night would have seen us through, so yes, we can criticise Mourinho here. But by the same token we have to commend him for getting his tactics spot on in 90% of matches this season. He's a major reason why we're on for a Double in a year where we haven't even actually been that good! Agree with everything. We could repeat Chelsea vs PSG match ten times, and I bet we will win most of it, than them. That was one those strange night. Luiz with all his might destined to score, even before the match. Their defense is not that good though, so I'm not surprised at all, Barca could beat them comfortably.
CurlyHairLikeLuiz 1,625
The real David Luis turned up last night as we all knew he would. The one thing that's pissing me off at the moment is that a player is good at tracking back. Was Suarez good at tracking back last night? no because he's allowed to play his natural game. Case in point is Oscar this is a kid who is capable of scoring goals like the one against Juventes. Look at him now he just runs about closing the opposition down and is a shadow of his former self. It's not in any Brazilians D.N.A. to play like that especially one who on his day is as skillful as he is. The same applies to Mata it's a scandal he was let go i don't give a shit how much money we got for him and why was we sold? because he was no good at fucking tracking back. If for arguements sake say that Willian was Mata's replacement then we spent 30 million pound on someone who's good at closing down but rarely beats his man and hardly ever scores. As for selling Schurrle and buying Cuadrado i've heard people saying the jury's out on Cuadrado no it ain't the jury reached a unanimous verdict straight away he's fucking useless. Cuadrado has about as much skill and finesse as Mickey Droy wearing stilettos and should be nicknamed Dandruff because he's so easy to brush off. That's more to do with Cesc's lack of pace and defensive presence more than Mou's gameplan.IMO Cesc should be rotating with Oscar as a CAM and we llet RLC be primary CM to partner Matic. Then we will see just how good a number 10 Oscar is, and how well he plays when he's with Brazil.
Blue Colored Sky 1,807
Funny how people used to say that Pep was a tactical genius when he was in charge of Barca. As has ever been the case, the tactics you can successfully apply depend on the players you have.I know where are you heading. However, can you convince me that in the next season or in 2 years time, Chelsea aren't going to retreat completely when they face good-to-top club ?That they are going to impose their style, commit several players to go forward and generally play at least semi-open football ? Be proactive and not only reactive ? Play to their strength and not to limit themself to interrupt opponent's game ?I don't see that assurance from you. I you want to convince me, I don't believe you.In 2016/17 the turnover will exceed well over £400m, probably something close to €550m. That's just mindblowing amount of money. From resources like these, Chelsea have to play on the front foot, have to play offensive, have to be aggressive no matter who they play against.Yet I still see Jose Mourinho aka "The Deadlock Master" at our helm and somehow doesn't believe it that Chelsea are going to play like this when facing top opponents.Hope I am wrong. kellzfresh 7,229
Next season, we'll play far better in the league while cautiously going for the Champions League. We just need to figure out the type of players we need to help create when fabregas is marked and hazard is double teamed.

Jose can make some of the greatest ever teams if given the chance. We did, Duff and Robben. I have said for some time the right side is the sticking point. Willian is a square peg in a round hole, Cuadrado is neither in or out but we need to replicate what we see on other side with Hazard, or near as damn it. Willian isn't direct enough, he's a good safe guard but the shackles are very rarely off. Hazard gets the ball things happen, Willian gets the ball, it's either he slows the play down or plays it simple. I am not having a pop about him playing it simple, but he's not a threat for me. I'd sooner see Willian central behind the striker than out wide but we need someone for that right side, someone with pace and who is a huge threat. It's time we started really stretching teams and I would start with buying someone like Bale or Reus. iseah100, Bosnian Blue and hjperdeath

Tenacity, energy, pressing, defending and attacking together, moving the ball quickly, shooting and scoring from distance, being direct and intelligent... Ah, good old times. Someone like Reus would transform us into the best team in Europe. A pacey winger, who can create for himself and others is something every top team has on both wings. We need that, Willian isn't that. I love the guy, and he has been playing well recently, but he'd be hetter at 10 than Oscar. With the right player, which I trust Jose and the board to find, will make us play more attractive football without sacraficing results. Jose is capable of that, people act like he's made a career out of having a passive defense. He just needs the right players. A world class RW for me and a CB would be the priority for me, not a CM.That football we played in 04/05 was IMO the best we ever played. I feel like we are one World Class player away from that. A CB would be nice, but with Zouma we can play a higher line, which would help us dominate games. Jose is no scrub. CurlyHairLikeLuiz 1,625
^^^ Not this season BCS...need a couple of reinforcements methinks.Koke to replace Ramires, because he can fill in for both Fabregas and Oscar, RLC first team call up, he can be a proper box to box in big games.IMO we haven't played well since Oscar went off form in January (which was soon after Cesc's hammy injury). We probably could have won had Cesc not been injured. I think it's more than just a "mid season dip in form". Therefore it'd be wise to have a player who can fill in for either. Popular Post! Stingray 9,441 Posted April 17, 2015 Popular Post! Share Posted April 17, 2015 I don't understand what he said or what the context is. You do your discussion, no one is stopping you. No one has the authority to stop you unless you cross a line and then the mod's need to come up.I never said Chelsea's style of playing is brilliant. It's bad, at times its borderline pathetic. But that was going to happen this season, I had set my bar low cause 2 seasons is not what it will take a manager of Mourinho's play-set to come up with beautiful football. I do my analysis, I do it full-time professionally. I used to do it for this site, before I stopped because of time constraints and also because quite a few educated members left to be replaced by ones who will go from 'Mourinho is god' to 'He should be sacked if we don't win anything this year' in the span of 45 minutes. You shouldn't be enjoying the football. You should be enjoying the fact that Chelsea are on their way to win the League after 5 long fucking years. You think I like the fact that we are not dominating our opposition? No I don't, but right now I know that is not happening. But I fucking loved the way we won it yesterday and as a whole I'm fucking delighted how things are going on. People are beating themselves down on the silliest things. Like I genuinely believe if we are a minute away from the title few people are sitting with crossed arms going ' We could have dominated' . Like fuck your domination, this beautiful club just won the League and I'm fucking happy.I have no problem whatsoever , this is a forum, there has to be a bit of negativity from people, but it's being outright criminal now.This. I would love - or even crave - better dominant play. But hey, this is a hard competitive league. We depend on a coach that is good at quick fixes and fire fighting. Newsflash: no trainer besides that could survive in a top club. Blame the system with its short term goals, i do as well. Is Mou God? No. Is he a good manager: yes I think so, very much. Do I feel like FUUU when i see us grinding results: yes. But never, ever has this taken my love for Chelsea away. Nor do i want Mou out (and i hate our play sometimes as much as Lionsden). Its like having a wife that is tha bomb, but you realize women do not just thirst for a blowjob, thrust their asses back in heat waiting for you to pound them doggy and thursting a facial. This is real life football. Ups and downs. Check other teams forums, every team has the same problems. In our case - because we are first - first world problems. That said, yes Mou can of course get heat for playing so ugly, why not. iseah100, hjperdeath, CHOULO19 and 2 others
