I hate this talk of José resigning if the players indicate they've lost faith in him...more like becoming too fucking lazy to put a shift in. If they were to do that I feel more like firing the players instead of the manager. We simply cannot go back to the days of player power.

Of course the players aren't all blameless but is it not the role of the manager to be a motivator too? If Mourinho can't do something about the poor motivation (why are they poorly motivated in the first place?) he simply isn't doing his job very well.

You are forgetting one important part here. Who's the boss. Mourinho right? Why is he refusing to drop those underperforming players? Why didn't he replace them with players that DO WANT to play?

You guys keep on passing the main blame to the players, but while they are pathetic, it's not their fault they are put on the pitch.

Completely missed my point altogether. I was talking about something specifically: José resigning at the simple whim of the players. The same players who stroll around like they don't care. I even addressed José as well, but whatever. I know I am being objective even though you think I'm just supporting José (if you looked at my previous posts you would know I'm far from).

My main point is that allowing players who don't want to work for a manager to call the shots is absolutely fucking insane. It regresses the entire team back years to the days of Scolari, AVB etc. when they held all the power, performing or otherwise.
