The Mourinho Thread

That is not true.Look at the posts in the Ivanovic thread for instance. There is a lot of criticism about Ivanovics poor performances out there, but the main thing is that Mourinho always gives him more chances instead of benching him.

That is his fault. Why not give another player a chance?Of course, when players play bad and we criticise them, but why does Mourinho not change more.Benching Terry gave us a little bit of more stability. Why not bench Iva?Oscar and Cesc were poor yesterday, but I know that both of them will get more minutes in the next two matches.

This.

Compare to previous managers, Mourinho gets a lot more stick than them/players escaping from criticism pretty easily.

Only the obvious culprits are getting blamed but what about the entire squad in general? No blame on them for under-performing? No question as to why they're doing so badly? The least you would expect from players is desire, commitment, hunger but we don't even see much of those from the players these days. Why? They are playing for Chelsea - one of the biggest clubs in the world - and if they can't even at least motivate themselves for match, then they have got some serious issues.

Stability is bullshit. All the top clubs change managers in 3-4 year cycles.

And if you wanted stability why give it to Mourinho of all people? I don't want to watch his shit football for the next 10+ years.

Then thats your pov. Is that what others feel? I don't think so.

That's your opinion, ours differ. Agree to disagree.

Disagree. AVB, Benitez, Grant etc all got stick.

Only one who didn't was Hiddink and rightly so. Pound for pound the best manager we've had in the Roman era.

Never said they didn't get it. It's just they got it less than Mourinho. At least some of the blame was put on the squad last time. Now, there's hardly any with the exception of 2-3 players.

Yeah, because we expect more from Mourinho.

If the team isn't functioning well for almost an entire year then blaming players is futile. The manager needs to be questioned.

That is one thing but if the players are not showing the desire, hunger and commitment at the very least - which they haven't shown of late - then some serious questions need to be asked of them as well.

Yes,you both are right.

The weird thing is that Mourinho yesterday mentioned that our players could have some attitude problems. We saw these attitude problems during the second part of the season and we still have these kind of problems.Instead of benching some players,Mou still gives them chances over and over again.

Look at what Ramires did yesterday. He ran his socks off, tried to show how good he is and he delivered.

Kenedy always tries to impress the coach,he always runs like a bigger version of Ramires, going into every duel he sees and he showed that he has desire for this club.

RLC impressed everyone with his great runs, his tackles and his quick reading of the game and he showed that he wants to be in the startin line up.

Instead of giving those 3 more chances,he gives Iva,Oscar,Hazard and Cesc more chances, which is unfair.

These attitude problems could be fixed if those untouchable player sit some matches on the bench and see what younger players or players that love the club can do.Maybe, they change their minds, but Mourinho first has to change his mind by giving other players chances.

Iva was the worst player against Walsall, why does he bring him against Newcastle.

I do not get it.

Probably the most level headed response I've seen, kudos.

We are short: one defender and one central midfielder

Our main weak areas: one spot in defence and central midfield.

Mourinho asked for: one defender and a central midfielder in April/May.

He got from the board: An unknown Djilobodji and reports of 33 loanees.

Let's all blame Mourinho, only.

The problems been clear for ages Last half of season we were pretty poor at times but sorta not so clear as other teams were worse and we stayed top.Pre season was 'oh it's only pre season'..no it wasn't.

Needs to stop being stubborn/annoying by playing players who week in are the cause of some of our problems. If they don't perform don't play should be simple yet isn't.Given our current position you'd thought they would've gone for it.we could've gone top half with a win yet little fight 2nd half and looked like didn't have a clue

Lets be honest we are a basket case of a club in some respects. Does anyone really think Mourinho will be around for long history dictates he won't. The die was cast as soon as Roman came to the club. There will always be a revolving door of managers and everyone has to accept that. Doesn't matter who you are and what your reputation is like the chances are you'll not be around for more then three years. Chelsea have never done stability it's not in our D.N.A.going back to the 70's when Eddie McCreadie was sacked for asking for a car just after winning us promotion with a young and exciting team.

fair enough on defender but he did not ask for a CM.

he asked for POGBA, the most sought after entity in football now a days. there were CMs like vidal/moutinho/schneiderlien/bastian who would have suited us and made us a much much balanced team.

also, did he ask for a RB? he sold luis and bertrand to play azpi. he bought a 21 mil baba who now he deems to be somehow even a worse option than the worst player in the PL currently.

we still have options in the CM department who are far better than cesc defensively and in most aspects of football except for quarter backish long passes like rambo and RLC, how many PL games have those 2 started in the mid?

so yes, lets all blame jose.
