Few pages back i remember you Leif saying why we should buy him. Ridiculous.

I gave pro's and cons as to why we should/shouldn't buy him. I also haven't said we shouldn't buy him now. Read properly and don't be a rude cunt.

we started the "we dont need him anyway..." crap pretty quickly i see.

Can you actually quote a single person saying we don't need him?

If you're going to insult anyone on the forum, especially myself, don't throw around your insults without backing them up.

During the season people here said it's more likely for Falcao to flop than him, and i replied along the lines of - any player can flop etc etc. Cavani has shown for Uruguay he's not a 54m player (not just in the confederations cup), he lacks confidence, and misses chances a player of his calibre should be putting away.

Now this is very very different from how he is at Napoli. So maybe it is the Serie A, or Napoli's system that suit him so well. Because he doesn't even play solely on the wings anymore, and still doesn't perform.

I would love it if he came here and scored every week, but i just cringe at the thought of yet another big money striker failing here, it would simply be fucking disgusting. Hopefully Jose knows who's right for the team, and we actually have some luck signing a player in that position again.

He's not insulting anyone on here, don't know why you're getting so emotional about it. He's right to say that your tone has basically changed from "let's sign Cavani he's practically perfect" to "Cavani doesn't suit us" over a few pages.

If De Laurentiis is being a dickhead over this then we should just go for Lewandowski or Jovetic,

Unfortunately, the Lewandowski's situation and condition are not better or I would say worse than Cavani.

I've noticed he gets very emotional when you draw attention to how often he changes his mind...

No offense or anything Leif man, but now I tend to just ignore your posts based on the fact that you're so indecisive (coupled with the fact that I have little time these days). You don't seem to have a particular solid stance on anything as it changes from day to day.

Some other things you say are also perplexing. Earlier I saw you say that Rooney is very similar to Eto'o? I just didn't know where to start with that one, so I just left it....

The 26-year-old remains committed to Napoli for the time being, reiterating no departure is confirmed, but conceded a move to one of Europe's giants would be hard to refuse

Napoli striker Edinson Cavani has insisted an offer from one of Europe's top clubs would be "difficult to say no" to, with Chelsea, Manchester City and Real Madrid all interested in securing his services.

Goal reported back in May that the Uruguay international heads up a list of summer targets at the Etihad Stadium, with City ready to spend £120 million on a number of players.

The Premier League outfit have already had an offer of £25.5 million plus Edin Dzeko rejected by the Serie A club, while Chelsea have also had a similar approach - involving Fernando Torres as a make-weight - turned away.

The 26-year-old insists he remains uncertain where he will be plying his trade next term, but admitted a move to the likes of Chelsea and Real Madrid would be hard to refuse.

"In this moment I don't know [anything] about my future," he told Ovacion. "It will be difficult to say no if there will be offers of Chelsea or Real Madrid.

"I will do my 100 per cent only for the club that will show strong interest in my person. In this moment there isn't nothing concrete.

The Italian club are instead holding out until the striker's release clause of £53.7m is met - a fee president Aurelio De Laurentiis has revealed City have refused to meet.

It is coming up again, now he is mentioning Chelsea

Either he should grow some fucking balls to put in a transfer request or shut the fuck up! Even Modric did it!

Basically he is saying make a bid and he will try his best to make it work for the team that is bidding(us or Madrid)

Still think we can get him.

Dude transfer window ain't open yet and Cavani is at Confederations cup. It would have been a true miracle if we or someone else had brought him in already. First, Napoli president will be reluctant to sell because

  • He doesn't have to
  • Cavani is happy to stay
  • He wants most money possible since Edinson is Napoli's best and most important player
  • He wants to wait a bit in order to evaluate all the bids he receives since maybe some other team like PSG for example could get involved in the transfer after they sort out things at the club like Ibra's future and new manager.

Now why Cavani won't hand in a transfer request?

  • Napoli fans love him
  • He likes both the club and the city
  • He plays Champions League
  • He is the focal point in their team
  • AND HE IS AT FUCKING CONFEDERATIONS CUP - Not the place to be thinking about your bloody future...perhaps he would rather finish that tournament and then actually think about his next club?

Now I just can't get my head around some posts here. Some of you act and panic like transfer window closes tomorrow and we don't have a striker at all! Just have some bloody patience...

This is the game of chess and Chelsea do play it well, or at least have played in well in the last few years.

Hey guys, i know this is a little off, and its been a while,

but has there been any official interest/quotes directly from chelsea that indicate we are going for him at all??

as far as i understand, all that happened was basic media speculation, then De Laurentes saying he is expecting a call from chelsea( if speculation is true), which did not come, and later he said there is not even any official interest from chelsea and what he has heard is all rumors from the media.

Am i missing something here apart from the Tancredis etc and their "sources"?
