Unless we get Haaland, who just fits in any system because he's got everything in his game, I'd rather go with a younger FW hungry for success... similar to the current squad. Lukaku or Haaland they would be number one guy and undroppable just like Kai is going to be. So that is Pulisic, Mount, Ziyech, Werner all fighting for one spot? Plus CHO. So take your side on that one) - Tuchel is believed to be relaxed about the club's transfer activity and has not used the CL win as an attempt to leverage more power or transfer funds from the club - Lukaku and Inter have said he will stay in Milan but the club not deterred from trying to make a deal happen as Inter have financial difficulties - Inter's asking price for Lukaku is currently well above what the club would be prepared to pay for him (no mention of the price) - Lukaku will not push for a move. Inzaghi has been consulting Lukaku over Inter's transfer plans and his expectations for the new season, which has been welcomed by the player - If Inter do not budge, then Tuchel hasn't ruled out the prospect of starting the season with Havertz and Werner as his first-choice strikers - Arsenal interested in signing Abraham. Club also braced for a bid from Aston Villa should Grealish move to Man City - CHO faces uncertain future this month with the club willing to sell but his £120k p/w wages means only a handful of clubs could afford to make a meaningful offer for him - Loftus-Cheek ideally wants to stay this season but a move, either permanently or another loan, looks more likely at the moment - Alonso, Barkley, Zappacosta, Batshuayi, Kenedy, Drinkwater, Bakayoko, Baba Rahman are, among others, players the club are willing to sell or loan out this month sainttourist and iceboy

Jase 43,479
Romano just said again that Inter have no intention to sell Lukaku, who is also happy at the club, on his Twitch stream. Fernando

Kind of sums up why I find it amazing so many people think Conte was directing the transfers. Personally, Lukaku in Conte's counter attack system makes sense, in Tuchel's counter attacker/high press one it makes no sense. If Conte didn't want them then why did he give them chance after chance? (He demonstrated with Michy that he had no qualms ignoring genuine board signings), Infact why did he look at reuniting with a couple of them at Inter? milka 3,395
Chelsea are already looking at alternatives to Erling Haaland & Romelu Lukaku with both looking tricky this summer. as expected we will finish with Danny Ings or Ollie Watkins 😅 Laylabelle

Update: I would love to see Lukaku here instead of Haalad. He was my top target when Conte leaved Inter. Sadly it looks like he like Serie A. But hope is still here. Interesting week it will be. Also i think that we may make RLC our back up middlefield to wait one season to go for Rice/someone else. But if things go mad i would not go for any alternatives for 9 and play season with Havertz as false 9. I really feel people are underestimating just how good Kai can turn out in the 9 position. Not just in terms of his own level but how compatible him there is with a successful style of play. False 9 is becoming more and more successful in this day in age. City winning the league with one, Liverpool CL then league with one, us CL... Very confusing stuff There is a huge week in front of us. It's make or break for Marina and the board. Dortmund is publicly listed, negotiations with those kinds of clubs are done differently. Any real offer made would have to be publicly disclosed by Dortmund, which the club certainly do not want. Because of that its just tons of discussions and sounding out through intermediates, because you only want to make an official offer, once you are absolutely sure it will be accepted. Since Dortmund appear to be adamant about keeping him, the club probably will never make an offer this summer. Which does not mean they didnt try everything.
