Jose Mourinho today met with Chelsea officials to finalise a deal to secure his return to Stamford Bridge.

A statement is expected later today to confirm a four-year contract with the former Real Madrid manager.

From DM...

Anyone knows if its true ? (the part which says he met with Chelsea today to finalise it)

I'm reading some article about Jose and I stumbled upon this quote

Mourinho and Essien share an extremely close relationship, with the latter prone to calling his boss 'Daddy'. Mourinho had to console Essien in May after his 30th birthday after only a few of his Madrid team-mates turned up for his party - testament to the decaying team-spirit at the club.

Interesting, heard that for the first time :carlo:

And like I said, a Barca team that was weakened that season, and was even more weaker this season, yet he and Madrid went over the edge in spectacular fashion despite spending massive amounts of money every season- that's a failure in my eyes.

When he comes here, he has to win the League every season in my eyes, and at least one champions league (if he stays for what expect 3 years) considering the money he will be allowed to spend wit our already expensive squad. Anything below that s underachieving.

Same here! Jose has to win the League every year. If he achieves that, I will simply be silent. otherwise, I will be a prophet ("told you so") and blame him for every pound he spent.

Oh, I almost forgot he hasn't spent any money yet.

Mourinho is a failure. Right.

The Most narrow minded posts ever, or are you Mr. Controversial?

Are yo misreading my posts on purpose or do you have limited brain capabilities to read at all? While his managerial career certainly has been successful his time at Madrid has to go down as a failure for reasons already given. It also shows that he is not a god as many people believe him to be and there are big negatives when appointing him.

But since everyone is telling me how brain dead I am for not worshiping him 24/7. I now expect him to win the title every season he stays with us as well as last one champions league. Bare minimum requirements.

A look back at 'The Special One's' time as manager at Stamford Bridge. Jose led the Blues to two Premier League titles, as well as FA and League Cup triumphs.

But he wasn't a failure at Madrid - that's the point.

So who would you appoint then? This mystery manager who could do better than Mourniho?
