Selling Luiz, who is still young and approaching his peak, or anyone like Ramires is just plain silly. We already have concerns in the other areas of the team that needs to be fixed, and fixed first and foremost! Why then try to create even more problems by selling players, some of our better players perhaps, in positions that are of no concern right now?! We'll just be shooting ourselves in the foot if we do so because not many other top quality CBs, CMs or which ever player is exactly available for sale right now. And even if they are, their club will over-price them knowing that we will desperate to sign replacements. What we should really be doing is buying players to address the areas of concern first and then only look elsewhere, if really needed. Main priorities should come first!

If an offer for £35 million came in for Luiz, it would have to be considered wouldn't it? That's the highest fee for a defender isn't it?

I love the guy, I love his character and I love his improvement but he's not a defensive rock at this exact point in time. He's not yet at the level of Terry in 2006 or Vidic in 2009 or even Kompany last year. He could get there, but £35 million is a lot to say no to for 'coulds', 'mights' and 'maybes'.

As for Rami....two decent midfielders in the pivot and he's a good utility player. Anything more than £20 million and it's got to be considered.

I wonder how that will work with Lollichon who is very close with Cech. Could be a potential issue there.

One of the papers this morning was reporting this morning that Lollichon would be staying on and working in tandum with Silvinho. Both highly rated coaches so hopefully theyll come up with a solution that works for Cech plus 2/3.

Hopefully that's the case. Lollichon is close with Cech and has been working with Courtois so our goalkeeping set-up is running smoothly already.

Mourinho is at Wembley right now, preparing to watch the Championship play-off final between Watford and Crystal Palace.

Seeing as Watford failed to gain qualification to the Premier League, Zola could may be our assist manager next season. I imagine Jose was mainly watching Chalobah, perhaps with a look at Vydra. There was a couple of his staff with him too, including Rui and Louro.

Would Zola really want to be an assistant for Chelsea? He was so close to getting Watford promoted and surely there must be some other premier league clubs calling for him as a manager.

Di Matteo got West Brom promoted and he joined Chelsea as an assistant. Sure, he got sacked from that same West Brom team a while later but Zola has also tried managing in the PL at West Ham and got the sack as well. Maybe a couple of years under Mourinho at the club he loves would do his managerial career good, it's not like he doesn't have the time or anything.

Personally I don't believe he would join as an assistant tbh, but stranger things have happened.

Feel like it's a bit of a different situation though, as you said yourself RDM was fired and was then even snubbed by Birmingham. Zola on the other hand is a pretty damn hot name right now.

But yeah, much stranger things have happened and it would be silly to say it 100% wouldn't, I have followed football enough to know not to say that. :P
