"A lot of underwhelming European campaigns" when the man has reached CL semi-final 5 times and won it once in his last 6 seasons

People will do/say anything to serve their agendas nowadays won't they ?

Anything under a CL final with Real is an underwhelming campaign.

I never typed that. What I was trying to communicate was Mourinho isn't going to leave Chelsea and expect to see big clubs lining up for his signature. He's going to have to humble himself and settle for something smaller, at least initially. He will come out of this mess looking worse than ever and quite frankly, pretty overrated.

You're wrong IMO. Look at Ancelotti, his league record is frankly abysmal yet he's the most likely candidate to take over Chelsea ! He recently managed Chelsea, PSG and Real Madrid, 3 of the very top clubs. If not Chelsea then there are rumours that he's going to take Bayern after Pep. Big jobs are always waiting for such successful manager.

Rafa Benitez is managing Real Madrid now ! Was previously at Chelsea even though he was 'done' at this level.

For Jose he has big job offer until he retires after such successful last 12 years.

Because who wouldn't go to Monaco? As a player or as a manager. Great place to live in & shitload of money.

He was dissing Monaco in that caught talk in France ? (when he was questioning Eto'o's age)

The only reason he would go there is because he could buy even more Jorge Mendes clients, lol.

No 'emergency press conferences' (as some social media trolls have alluded to), just a simple statement put out via the official club website thanking him for his efforts, but talking about the 'regrettable' nature of recent results. Lunchtime on Sunday, given previous conduct.

So it is done. The decision is made. Barring some Lazarus-like resurrection, it is over. Fans, who bought into the idea that Mourinho's return would commence some golden era criminally cut short the first time, will find this incredibly difficult to accept. Such emotional baggage has been invested in the belief that this man was the panacea. At times, that belief has felt almost religious. And certainly defying logic or evidence.

From where the info about the press conference?

Don't shoot the messenger mate :D

He does have good info about the Chels, so I wouldn't be surprised if its true. Honestly doubt Mour can turn it around, because for every positive there are three negatives lately. Would love if he proves us all wrong though, just can't see it.

Wasnt having a go BB :D

So true, too many negatives piling up, preparing for the inevitable now. Wouldnt be Chels without a circus.

No one is talking about the last 6 seasons. I was talking about from 2011-2015. That's 4 years not 2. His team was crushed 4-1 by Klopp's Dortmund and we were outclassed by Simeone's Atletico Madrid after Mourinho parked the bus in Madrid. Same thing last year. We parked the bus in Paris and we got humiliated by a side with 10 men, without their star player.

Mourinho's supporters have to go back to 2010 to find the last time he's done anything remotely relevant in Champions league.
