Stingray 9,441
Hazard knows he can criticize and embarrass him publicly like that because Hazard is a genuine nice guy that'll take it on a chin. All belgians know this is really untrue. Vandereycken as NT coach says hello. Eden has a way of saying fuck you when he doesnt believe in the coach anymore (eg the hamburger incident). I see this happening right now, Eden was a completely different player in the EC games. Result will be Eden leaving and Mou getting sacked. Bad bad deal for our team. johnnythefirst 1,076
Has this guy, even once in his long career as a manager, put any blame at all on himself?I'm honestly wondering about it.He was playing arguably the worst team in the league and he's talking about defensive responsibilities. What's he going to do against Real?He became a cartoon character in about two months. Said it before. zolayes, xPetrCechx, 11Drogba and 1 other
GodZola 630
In the kingdom of the blind the one eyed man is king. If Mourinho thinks that Roman and the board would be happy with a mid table finish then he's not looking at the bigger picture. Lets say we did come 11th just watch from February the way that the crowds will drop off. The clamour for tickets for the day trippers and tourists will wane and when we are playing the likes of Stoke and W.B.A who never sell there full allocation we will be playing in front of crowds of 32,000. Unless they start dropping prices and history dictates they won't. F.A.cup games won't sell out either Champions League ones will (if we're still in it !).Chelsea need Champions League football like a vampire needs blood the loss of revenue will be catastrophic, as i said crowds will be down and the top players won't come. Which brings me to the really worrying part the Wembley move. We can take the piss out of other clubs support Man City's especially where they practically give tickets away. But if we are struggling what sort of crowds will we get at Wembley?. If the whole point of moving to Wembley is to get bigger crowds at the Bridge and we start getting crowds of less then 42,000 we will be a laughing stock especially among other fans. I hate to say it but Spurs would fill Wembley comfortably regardless of how well the team are doing.Which brings me back to Mourinho i hate Wenger as much as the next man but he's always got Arsenal into the top four. Specialist in failure? maybe, mid table finish never. It doesn't really bode confidence when your manager is talking about a mid table finish this early in the season something is wrong and badly wrong in and around the club.I'd very much doubt that attendance's will fall even if we are in a relegation scrap fella.I had a lengthy dialogue with one of the senior peeps in the ticketing office during the close season cus I sent them a constructive & assertive email questioning all things that are not rosy with trying to purchase a ticket. To their credit, the customer service I received was exemplary, he explained everything & one of the problems getting tickets is because there is a 100,000 members scrambling for a meagre 10,000 ticket allocation available on home PL games & that was last season! On Monday & this is despite our recent poor run of form, I tried to get tickets for the Norwich home game, after an hour of coming on sale, the only tickets remaining were concession tickets & I couldn't even get them cus I wanted more than the website would let me have! That said, I wouldn't mind if we do struggle cus we'd get rid of some of the blinkered tunnel vision fans like we've got on here -despite Jose being unquestionably correct about the F.A where all they have demonstrated is that they are more incompetent than FIFA & that sums up the F.A, there is a desperate need for a complete clean sweep & reform there, yet this lot on here still find the words of their pessimistic wisdom to disrespect Jose but hey Wenger acts with complete integrity to all & sundry but we're just over look that.....I get their frustration with José this season but ffs when our manager is hitting a nerve with the fools from the FA & is 100% correct in his assessment then play devils advocate for once & take your sack José glasses off ffs! coolhead23 1,147
I'd be happy with a top 4 finish, CL semis and an FA Cup League cup doubleU r expecting a lot, mate ... specially in the state of affair we are in ... Top 4 is not possible ... Sir Mikel OBE 4,920
That will never happen. Hazard is no Juan MataThey are in same positions in this club.Mata was man of the year(twice) and it was his team. Hazard is pretty much that role now.The only difference is we have seen what has happened with De Bruyne now so we can hope people are smarter. Stingray 9,441
That will never happen. Hazard is no Juan MataThat might be a misunderstanding. Eden was always very, very goal oriented in his career choices (even his loyality to Lille, it made him grow, his willingness to sign a CL winner). People are fast to say he is too laid back, no alpha. Perception is never the real thing. Mark my words. Mou's comments just now will be the last drop. Sadly. The entire world knew he was gone even before that window opened when he stopped playing Nothing anybody said could have kept him here. I think Mourinho could still probably sweet talk Hazard down from leaving.

He's been playing first team football since he was 17? That's up to seven years of pro football already. And he kept improving himself, became a key player very early on and eventually carried Lille to a certain extent, winning trophies and individual awards. He joins a big club in Chelsea and again, he keeps improving and becomes a key player. He carried his team in the second half of 14/15, wins the league and cup and wins individual awards. That's a go getter. He's already had an amazing career at the age of 24. Most players' career truly start at 24/25.People try too hard to read into things. He likes to have a laugh so if something goes wrong, he's too laid back. He's in poor form, big deal. It happens to everyone. It even happened to Messi. If Hazard hasn't lived up to your own expectations of him becoming Messi 2.0, that's your problem. Messi is one of a kind. But Hazard is quite the player himself. He may leave the same way Mata did - or not, but their positions in the team couldn't be any different. José didn't play Mata because he didn't fit at all in the team, Eden has been sidelined for one game and I don't think he'll be again any time soon. If I had to guess it, José is trying to rile up Eden, but I just hope it doesn't backfire.
