KonohasOrangeFlash 2,607
Cannot wait until he leaves so we can get a real Striker and move on with our title challenge (if its still in tact by January). I used to be such a stubborn supporter of his but there is no longer any reason to close my eyes to the truth (like many still do). Those stats that someone posted, about Torres being the 2nd worst striker in terms of Goals per game in the entire league, is petrifying. How did we let it get to this stage? How is he still playing for a top club? Strikers from Wigan, Norwich, Swansea etc are scoring at a better rate than Torres. There is literally no way someone can defend him. We have had Hazard, Mata and recently Oscar ready to supply him. If he hasn't got the service from them its because he doesn't make many good runs and stands around lazily expecting the ball to hit his foot and fly 20 yards into the net. When he does get a chance, he fluffs it, as seen against Stoke. He won't score much more than an occasional goal. He may score a goal or two in the next few games and the Torres fans will start saying "We told you" and "He's back!" (Things I used to say and think) but then the goals will dry up again...A Falcao or a Cavani and we could rip teams apart. We have no reliable or good focus point. I will always remember his goal against Barcelona. Always. Undoubtedly his greatest moment in a Chelsea shirt. However now its just a countdown until he leaves and we as a club can move on from this long drawn out nightmare. Unfortunately he will go down as the biggest flop ever.I have nothing against Nando personally. I hope he can return to Atletico and have a wonderful end to his career there, as he deserves. It would be nice to see for football fans the world over. However, his time here is all but over. AndersonBLUE 819
This guy really needs to start opening up a respectable goal count if we want to stay where we are. He completely fucked that chance mata gave him, so people can't complain of service.
Popular Post! Tomo 21,751 Posted September 24, 2012 Popular Post! Share Posted September 24, 2012 Didier in his first few seasons showed signs of improvement and flashes of brilliance whereas Torres has shown neither other than the goal against Newcastle.Drogba being crap in his first two season's is the biggest urban myth i have ever heard, they were actually his 3rd and 4th best season's for us.He still scored some great goals and gave numerous great performances, the reason the myth is going round that he was crap was for 3 reason's.His admittedly over the top diving. The expectations we had after seeing him for Marseille. His outstanding third season.Drogba certainly was not rubbish in his first two season's let alone on Torres's Chelsea level. His best season's for Chelsea are in order 09/10, 06/07, 05/06, 04/05, 11/12 (if it weren't for the big game winners this season would be last), 07/08, 08/09, 10/11. BOSS 372
He is playing so bad that its getting dangerous for us. Because of him we almost drew against Stoke, he fucked his chance up and he breaks the build-up play everytime.
meetdoscar 335
Torres is No.(No) 9. Am tired of making excuses for him and lukaku should return in january. I don't want cavani bcoz I don't trust his ability. Falcao would be nice but he will be too expensive and is already 27 I would want a strong and not yet so popular striker who we can build into our team to replace drogba. Therefore I want seydou dumbia. He is young, strong, skillful and prolific.

But moses is very vital on the wings for chelsea (Look at the impact he has made as a substitute winger) and is not yet as prolific as dumbia so i guess we need another moses(seydou dumbia) as a striker. Blue Armour 4,439
Honestly, I don't think Torres on the whole has been as poor as most people would believe this season. We can mention the lack of profligacy when it comes to the number of goals scored so far, but he has been more involved with the build-up play and passing.I just feel our style of play just doesn't do him any favors, and for that we'll be much better of with a striker, like Sturridge/Drogba/Anelka, who likes to drop deep, take the ball and distribute it. Kieran. 6,317
Calmed down after a few days, and I've decided to continue to back him. Might as well, he probably won't be here much longer.
Jase 43,479
Take the goal incidence for example: With 5 mins to go we were desperately looking for a goal, playing the ball from left to right around the box looking for the right ball in. And although I am mightily glad that Cole popped up where he did, I couldn't help but wondering where our lone striker when we needed him most. The answer is that he was some 30m away from goal, not even in the frame of thee camera in any replay. He was actually inside the penalty box mate. jmarlow
xPetrCechx 13,570
He was actually inside the penalty box mate. He's just walking around... hate his lazy attitude...
mediator 2,026
I think that we don't need another striker. In case of Torres failure, we still have Sturridge, Moses and Piazon (to backup). We can also use the false nine. And if we can sell Torres, we will be good for fifa fair play.Next Year Lukaku will come back. I think our team is good.
Jase 43,479
@xPetrCechx, well that's another issue for another day. Was just trying to correct what he said about Torres being far far far away from goal. xPetrCechx
Sheva. 5,373
I want him to leave so we can stop talking about him.This. I'm tired of hearing his name and what he can or can't do. Leif 6,006
I will honestly and truly treat his eventual departure as-if we signed Messi. Not an exaggeration at all.

Las7 951
I'm just happy here, every other Chelsea related forum(I'm even FM at one place), a vast majority keep defending him like some type of religion and he is their blonde deity. Here at least most people when presented with facts don't continue making excuses about him and seem to be more realistic. I swear if RvP didn't score in 24 hours I'd be having a laugh at MU's expense - they actually have had a midfield problem for quite some time yet their strikers hardly struggle on the same scale as Torres. didierforever
Azpinator 2,325
He scored a great goal against Newcastle a month ago, I say keep believing in him (although it's so frustrating to watch him) until January.
