‘Chelsea have made significant progress in installing a football identity’
Huh!!!
🫤🤔😐

Blue Armour got a reaction from Fernando in The Board
The hilarious thing is these numpties were holding out on securing a long-term shirt sponsor in hopes of better deal, and now have risked not finishing in any of the European spots.
What was old Eghbali's astute assessment again?
"Chelsea were quite frankly an asset, not terribly well managed on the football, sporting or promotional side"
Someone should put those words on a banner and hold it aloft in the stadium.

Rubbish.
Anyway. Inconsequential result at this stage.
All eyes on BlueCo & co. in the summer.
How are they going to respond? Will they finally walk away with their tail between their legs and admit that a good manager DOES make a difference. And that even the best managers need to be backed with experience and quality.
To me, thats far more interesting than any of the remaining fixtures.

Blue Armour reacted to Fulham Broadway in Where now? What do we do?
But there has to be a will to do it.
ie are the venture capitalists really that interested in team success ? If not the rot from the top will remain, no matter what Directors of football they appoint, puppets that are constrained by AI and cashflows.
PL and Championship are littered with billionaire owners quite content to drive at 50 in the middle lane as long as they add to their fortunes.
If they have the will for success, like the custodians of Liverpool, Utd, Citeh, where the penny finally dropped that you need to get a good manager in, trust him, and give him the autonomy to get on with it - that would be a start

It starts with the owners, but IMO a fallout like this is what it takes for these clowns to wake up and change direction.
I don't see the owners up and leaving next summer, but what I hope is that this season becomes a stain against Eghbali & his cronies.
This will hopefully force Eghbali & co to reconsider their youth-prioritized recruitment strategy.
I don't know if this means that Joe Shields & his Kinetic buddies will get displaced soon though. This season is a damning indictment, but I fear those parasites are going to stick around for a while to influence recruitment.
Hopefully they (meaning Eghbali, Todd & the upper echolons) at least take the power of influencing team selection away from the directors and restore it to the coach. Whoever comes next.
And speaking of who comes next, Rosenior and Callum are giving a first class demonstration of how a manager can make or break the team. Hopefully they will learn.
A lot of 'hope' & 'hopefully' in my post, but that's the situation we're in.
To make matters worse, the club is in massive debt and might not have the finances to make all the corrections needed this summer.

This is the best thing that could have happened FOR us. Otherwise these dumb owners would have kept on attempting versions of some small club model that does not work/apply to big clubs.
They shouldve bought a mid table team and gone ahead with this model. Not Chelsea.

Tbh, whatever the medical staff did for James had worked for at least a good solid year.
Lavia is just a different level. And Fofana isn't great even when he plays.

How Chelsea Set Up Under Cesc Fabregas
Connor Holden Football examines how Cesc Fàbregas integrates positional buildup, structured rest defense, and zone replacement to control matches at Como. The analysis explores how these specific tactical principles regarding ball possession, aggressive counter-pressing, and player fluidity could potentially be adapted to fit Chelsea's current squad composition and future development.

massive new amount of PIK loan debt shown below (it is Cayman Islands-based, and is called COP III, it is the new facilty shown below, and it dwarfs the other 2)
Around £400m a year (which will keep increasing on a year over year basis, btw) just in INTEREST COST, and likely even more as the interest shown (11.25 per cent) for COP III is likely too low per Booby Fairview.
Just that interest cost, (especially if the interest rate paid on the COP III loan debt is around 14, 15 per cent per annum), could well surpass our ENTIRE gross revenue intake per annum by 2027 or so
PLUS that £1.5 billion that was supposed to go to the new stadium, womens side, youth development etc, has been spent on other things
No wonder Boehly was talking about no new stadium until possibly the late 2030s or more likely 2040 or later!!
and it gets worse, as we still have to pay to RUN THE CLUB each year, pay the salaries, transfers, staff, current stadium and other physical plant expenses (ie training grounds, for all levels, and multiple other things) etc etc etc
and all this truly affects the funds (like public pension funds)who invested in it all, and those giant funds will come head-hunting for BlueCo et al as those funds are bound by law to utilise fiduciary responsibility for their 'shareholders' (for but one example think of 10s (perhaps 100s) of thousands of school teachers and other public employees)
Boehly's share of the club, due to insane losses, has already be cut basically in half in a few short years
Ares Management and others, due to the way their PIK (PIK means Payment-in-Kind and refers to a financial instrument where interest or dividends are paid using additional securities (bonds/stock) instead of cash) loans (the 22 HoldCo facility for instance) are structured, can go directly after our current owners and seize all (or a huge amount) of the club
we are so so fucked I am starting to really fear 🥵

Sources: Ipswich Town make contact to sign Chelsea player this summer
A real one to keep an eye on
https://siphillipstalkschelsea.substack.com/p/sources-ipswich-town-make-contact
Chelsea are going to be open to selling a number of their first team squad in the summer, should decent offers arrive.
Some players just aren’t performing well enough, and there are issues with the attitudes of some of the others.
Clubs are starting to show interest in some of Chelsea’s players for the summer, and as you know, both Newcastle United and Everton are two clubs who have registered an interest in signing Blues striker Liam Delap.
SPTC Sources have also now heard that Delap’s former club, Ipswich Town, have reached back out to his agents regarding a move to ‘bring him home’ this summer.
Ipswich are currently in the playoff places in the Championship, and this attempt to sign him back will only happen if they get promoted back to the Premier League. But they are putting summer plans in place already, and some of those plans involve the hope of getting promoted.
It may well be one to watch if they do go up, because I know Delap enjoyed his time at Ipswich and really thrived there, hence why Chelsea signed him and he also had Manchester United after him.
We’ll see what happens, but the interested clubs in Delap are slowly building up for this summer.

A big FUCK NO!!
Sources: Chelsea scouting new striker this season
New name comes up
https://siphillipstalkschelsea.substack.com/p/sources-Chelsea-scouting-new-striker
Chelsea are looking at potentially adding a new striker to the first team squad in the summer, depending on what happens with Liam Delap.
There is a sense that they still don’t have a strong enough front line, with only Joao Pedro who has been performing consistently well.
As I have reported many times now, Delap is wanted by a few clubs this summer, and as you will see in another sourced article out today, there is a new club in for him as well now.
Chelsea only paid £30m for Delap, so they will certainly be open for business to sell him this summer after what has been a really disappointing season from the striker.
SPTC Sources have heard that Chelsea are scouting Sunderland striker Brian Brobbey.
At the moment, it is just scouting - they have been following him all season. Nothing has moved yet in terms of any possible move or contact.
Brobbey is known for his strong hold up play and loves a battle with a centre back. The 24-year-old Dutch international has scored 75 goals in 236 senior appearances in his career so far and was most recently at Ajax, before moving to the Premier League last summer. He’s only got 6 goals in 28 appearances in all competitions so far this season.
As I say, it’s just one of many names Chelsea are running some scouting reports on right now, it might not lead anywhere.

I’m straight up ignoring that name lol.
If we are truly considering Marco Silva.. there are no words left to describe this nightmare.
I like Alonso but too many last minute wins in that Bundesliga run for me to feel super safe in his management style. Then he flopped hard at Madrid.
none of the names are wowing me at all.

??
He will NEVER be the required level to manage Chelsea. What are we doing here ? Have we really allowed our mentality to drop to even considering this guy?

Blue Armour got a reaction from OneMoSalah in The Board
I think Joe Shields and his connections with Kinetic academy are amongst the biggest of problems in the club right now.
Look at Callum McFarlane & co. currently in charge of the first team. Most of them cronies brought in because of the kinetic connections.
And these clowns are influencing player transfers too.

Blue Armour got a reaction from Fulham Broadway in Chelsea 1-0 Leeds
So BlueCo's Chelsea CAN beat the 15th placed team on the table.
Hope those clowns up top don't take this to be a sign that Callum can manage this lot long-term. Making them double down on the idea that the manager doesn't matter.
No doubt BlueCo will milk the hell out of this finals appearance.
This FA cup run was almost easy as Arsenal's run in the Champions league this season.

Blue Armour reacted to Strike in The Next Manager?
Why wouldn't he? It is a jump into the English league at a club he loves and always talks fondly about.
Even at Como, there is going to be a big reset with Madrid taking back their loanees so you never know if his stocks are up in another year.
-
Blue Armour reacted to Vesper in The Next Manager?
He is going to lose massive parts of the Como team, so there is that.
Multiple players on this list are gone due to buyback clauses, sales, etc
including his main superstar, Nico Paz, who is going back to Real Madrid
