I would rather have Gittens over Noni. We have two CF that are much better at finishing than Jackson. Gittens is always looking to get the ball to them first. Noni was always looking to score, but he missed a lot. He also turned the ball over a lot. I have not seen Gittens do that anywhere near the frequency Noni did. Gittens has areas to improve but he seems to be a better fit for what Maresca wants at LW. Could you imagine what would have happened with the Delap penalty shot had Noni been out there with Palmer off the pitch. Noni is just never about the bigger picture. He is very selfish.

Yep. Really don’t see what he really adds to this squad. We’re going to. E playing a shit load of low blocks and packed defenses. Garnacho excels when he can break at pace in a counter attacking side. He’s a shit dribbler and doesn’t offer the technical ability that Gittens, Neto and Estevão do. Sadly, I think the move is already so advanced that we won’t pull out. We’ve been chasing him for 6 months now and he has totally burned his bridges at United. Which is why I’m sweating about Xavi. Feels like that’s the target that is more lLike ly to be sacrificed for a CB than Garnacho.

Went to the game, had a couple shandy's before so not the best for giving anyone a deadly accurate assessment! Estavao looks promising esp when we consider the Germans next game is the real thing and they're fully up and running but also have lost key players Palmer was keen as always and creative, Hato looked good, Gittens stood out also when he came on, looks classy and Pedro caught the eye, I've been umming and arring about whether he can bang them in like drogz for us but once again he's got himself a great goal albeit against a rather flat and boring bayer Towards 70mins apart from the bigger money boys I literally had no clue who was on the pitch but what was good to see is that we didn't really drop off at all like you would expect, maybe our play was a tad robotic but all in all neat and tidy for the first "fitness" game of the season Bad bit was I have to say it, Chabz, he looked all over the place at times and a bit skittish on the left but again wasn't expecting him to be superman Oh and Jorgz looked pretty decent to me, good distribution and def felt more confident when he was playing out the back over you know who, however we absolutely dominated so he didn't have much to do onwards and upwards, CB needed 100% KTBFFH Bottle of mead and feet up, thank christ is a screw cap 🤪😇

With circa £100m available to be won the club will; A) lobby fifa very hard for automatic qualification and, B) definitely participate if qualified. I absolutely want Chelsea to take part and attempt to successfully defend our crown.

Not sure what problem Maresca has with Veiga. He wanted to play CB and now it's perfect situation. Already starting for Portugal over some players our fans want here... Cucurella was almost loaned to United and now is untouchable. Hopefully something similar happens with Veiga.

Good information thank you. I have only seen Yildiz in the Club World Cup and was impressed. I don't claim that this is enough to contradict people who have seen him play more often than I have. I do however contrast the impression he made on me with my thoughts about Raphael Leao. As my post history will show, Leao never impressed me at all and I consistently argued against us signing him. Based on my own limited viewings I therefore have no choice but to feel that Yildiz is the better of the two. I do though think that the opinions of fans, and especially fans of the player's own club are worth considering. For example, it was the views of Leicester City fans which made me doubtful about us signing Ben Chilwell.

I do wonder if Lavia has something that slows healing like diabetes or something worse. He misses so much time for seemingly minor ailments,injuries etc...

People are overrating Simons massively on here and on social media in general. He’s good but he does have bad games.. many of them too. The jury is still out on him for me.
