    Chelsea Transfers

🔥🔵🗯BREAKING: A verdict is nearing on Chelsea’s 74 Charges. Mail Confidential has been assured that supporters can anticipate NON-SPORTING sanctions as an outcome. That would mean a FINE rather than, say, a transfer ban or points deduction. [@kierangill_DM]

  3. Crucial fixture out of the way. Well taken hattrick by Joao Pedro Without him we would be far behind Liverpool and United this season. Honestly why do you even bother comparing them? The CWC trophy was won thanks to a certain Cole Palmer if I recall correctly, who had a far more impactful game especially in the final against PSG. If JP is so impactful in games where he's not scoring, why are you not here talking about his contributions in the Arsenal games, including the most recent one? I can sing praises and thanks to Joao Pedro all day, but not to the point where you make him out to be something he is not.

  4. Anyone saying we don’t need a GK after these first 15 minutes is delusional. Chronic unease with that cunt in goal. Never achieving anything with him.

  5. Still cant get over it. Palmers miss as if he cant run fast enough when through on his own. And Fofana and his usual stupid tackles. And im afraid we have another idiot as a manager. When your defender is on a yellow you make a change at half time especially as he selected 5 centre halves on the bench also unbelievable. Its basic common sense.

  6. Everton have made Chelsea striker Liam Delap their top summer target. The 23-year-old Englishman only arrived at Stamford Bridge last summer from Ipswich Town. (Football Insider), external i'm getting more and more excited

  7. He isn't hurting us. Players make mistakes and he certainly doesn't need to change the way he plays otherwise we get worse. He is one of our least accident prone players.

  10. Caicedo definitely struggled in that initial few months of joining but he then showed genuine quality later in the season and was a beast. Gittens showed maybe a couple of flashes so far and will not get the chance to do so again this season with this injury. The only reason we won’t be able to give up on him is because 1, he was so expensive so nobody would give us our money back and 2, he will be coming off of a serious injury. We’re stuck with him next season unless he goes out on loan. Garnacho from the start we knew what we were getting. He’ll frustrate the hell out all of us, he’ll look shocking some games and super effective other games, and he’ll put up decent numbers just like he did at Man United. So no chance he is sold. He’ll always be a decent option to have in the squad. The most expendable wide attacker therefore is obviously Pedro Neto. Thing is, I’m not sure I’d sell him either nor do I think the club/manager will want to either. For a large part of this season he has been our best winger and is a manager’s dream in that he works his ass off. If a huge offer came in we’d probably sell if he wanted to go but I don’t think we’d push him out. My guess therefore is that our only wide attacker “signing” taking into account everything I’ve just said will be Quenda. The idea that this club will go huge on a world class, £80m+ LW and then have 2 £50m ones on the bench seems super far fetched to me.

  15. Fabregas would be off his head to even consider coming here. Won’t happen. All the next big managers, we have no chance of enticing them to come here without major changes off the pitch. Anyone with half a brain will not want to work within this structure and particularly with these sporting directors who have burned through £1.75 to 2 billion of transfer money without facing any accountability. This is why we have ended up with Potter, Pochettino, Maresca & now Rosenoir. And 2 of them left due to “mutual consent”….. so go figure.

  16. I am pretty depressed at the state of the team in terms of both near and longer term outcomes Palmer's regression (regardless of causation) and the unacceptably low level of quality we have at CB are extremely troubling

    Chelsea 1-1 Burnley

The players partying and relaxing for a few days shouldn’t fucking matter against Burnley at home. We created a dozen chances good enough to win that game and they choked or scuffed their lines. If we had sleepwalked through that with zombieball and our players still looked hung over that’s one thing. Then you could say the mini holiday was a factor. That’s not the case over the 90 minutes where we should’ve scored a bunch on guilt edged chances. The Palmer we saw at his best would be having a 20 PL goal season from open play in this current team. The fact that he is still miles off that level is killing us. Likewise Estevão being constantly in and out of the squad with injuries or personal matters. Feels like we haven’t seen a run of games with him, João Pedro and Palmer together more than like a couple of times.

  18. the old guard would never allow these shit teams to get points at the Bridge, this team is a complete mess, absolutely pathetic from these so called professional footballers. No fight or passion for the club, mercenary cunts.

  19. Palmer since all these United noises has chucked it, he's not interested Clubs a shambles, discipline is an absolute joke. no leadership, scatter gun subs, player identity and recruitment is lower than a squirrels balls and as it stands we are handing 4th place to whoever wants it

  21. He has played a lot of football. Far too much this last 2 and a half seasons in all reality. For club & country. But we miss a lot with him out the side. Kante should be an example of how over reliance and playing more or less every game season after season can lead to problems later down the line. He went from being an ever present to needing to be managed for a 12-18 month period due to repeatedly picking up injuries/breaking down. Then that was ultimately used as an excuse to discard him. If ClownLake’s medical team are all over things with the likes of Reece, Wes, Lavia then why aren’t they trying to make some sort of plan for managing Caicedo? Or Enzo? Or any of the other guys playing every game without fail? The data is there and suggests he’s played a lot of games since coming here… would be incompetence to not try to implement something. I suppose their track record signing injured players/players with bad injury histories has shoot them in the foot with Lavia & Essugo who both arrived injured IIRC.

  23. This game was so much more than a Palmer open goal miss We were 2-0 fucking up, we decided to think the game was won with ease and did the only thing that kids do at grass roots level and start thinking it's done and easy No sympathy, and this is why we won't be challenging for anything, anytime soon

  24. Andrey Santos makes a MASSIVE difference to this team. His football intelligence both on and off the ball is incredible. Always seems to be in the right place and he’s super tidy on the ball. He provides the platform for The whole team to play. He is our new Jorginho but with more athleticism. Only real critique of that half is that Palmer didn’t finish off that free run he had in the box. We score that and I think we’re cruising the rest of the way.

  25. At Elland Road there was a complete underestimation of what the fixture means to Chelsea and Leeds history, hierarchy and long held deep rivalry. I think Rosenior is more aware of this, and wont underestimate them for this return fixture Palmers confidence will be sky high, and hopefully infect the team.

  30. I was talking to me mate, and against Wolves I said even at 3-0 up I can never feel confident we can see the game out, it's relevant every game for us. And as for Palmer amongst other things, not all the time but most of it he's lost his first touch, I was fucking raving watching the ball bounce of his foot, he's so badly regressed he had no reason to look pissed off being subbed, he deserved it.

  31. i feel really bad for the fans that have to go to the stadium and watch this crap week in, week out. they should all get refunded after watching this disaster show. the players, the manager and the owners deserve every bit of booing coming their way. absolutely disgraceful and pathetic on every level. i can’t trust this team anymore, the soul, the fire, the desire and fear factor we used to give to opponents is gone. I feel disgusted by the current state of the club. Cheers

  32. Both had all around bad games in every aspect. No one is saying Palmer is at fault for what Fofana did. Fofana is clearly an idiot and the fact that we are not seeing Sarr play ahead of him already raises serious questions around either Rosenior or the decisions made in January - if Sarr is not good enough to play over him, we should have gone to the market properly. Got called out during the game when I said Palmer is not world class anymore but I'm sorry it is as in our faces as anything can be. Obviously, the guy has struggled with injuries and I feel sorry for what's happened to him - but pity does not mean you just ignore the facts being shoved in your face for 1 year+. He's not the same anymore. Maybe he never will be again. Happened to lots of great players unfortunately. Most likely path is we see flashes from him, occasional great games, instead of consistent brilliance.

  37. The new "multi‑year global partnership" will see IFS move off the front of the shirt in the summer, but the wider agreement will run until 2028. Chelsea are seeking around £65m per season from their next long‑term front‑of‑shirt partner.

  38. I agree that it is NOT acceptable (and the kit logo looks hideous, ffs), but IFS (formerly known as Indurstial and Financial Systems) is not some random AI firm, it is a 43 year old company, is industrial AI enterprise software-oriented (it is one of the biggest industrial AI independent firms on the planet, (ie not tied to one of the big 7 tech firms: Alphabet, Amazon, Apple, Meta, Microsoft, Nvidia, and Tesla), and is, since 2015, majority owned by the 2nd biggest atm private equity company on the planet, EQT. EQT (majority owned by Investor AB, ie the Swedish ultra powerful and famous Wallenberg family) is headquarted here in Stockholm, and and trails only KKR (Kohlberg Kravis Roberts) in the US as to who is the biggest private equity firm globally in terms of funds raised the last 5 years: Top 5 Private Equity Firms by Global Capital Raised the past 5 years: KKR (KKR & Co. Inc.) EQT AB Blackstone Thoma Bravo Carlyle Group also, Hg (a huge London-based private-equity group, formerly known as Mercury, with the 10th biggest PE holdings on the planet) also holds a minority stake of IFS. IFS (again, originally Industrial and Financial Systems) is a Swedish enterprise software company headquartered in Linköping. The company develops cloud-based business software focused on asset- and service-intensive industries, including enterprise resource planning (ERP), enterprise asset management (EAM), and field service management (FSM). History Founding and early years IFS was founded in 1983 in Sweden and launched its first software product IFS Maintenance in 1985. Five years later the complete product suite known as IFS Applications was launched. In the next several years saw IFS expanding its presence in the Scandinavian region with the establishment of offices in Norway, Finland, Denmark and then expanding outside Scandinavia into Poland. 1993, saw IFS introduced its first graphical user interface and expanded to Malaysia. In 1995, it expanded to North America.

  39. That is a HIDEOUS shirt sponsor and it’s also once again just another short term bandaid deal. Of course it had to be some random AI slop company. For the life of me, of all the strange and questionable things that have happened under BlueCo, them apparently being complete.y unable to secure us a long term, super high profile/prestigious shirt sponsor is the weirdest and most puzzling thing. These guys are supposed to be business and finance geniuses and we’ve scrounged around for FOUR YEARS looking for a sponsor only to end up here?

  40. Keep saying it - said it with Maresca when we were trying to push certain players out - would keep Chalobah as a squad player. Still our best/most reliable CB probably, options aren’t great but in terms of HG status, knowing the club, age, experience… really strange we would try and let him go again other than for pure profit on the spreadsheet. Badiashile signing just hasn’t worked out after initial promise & Tosin…. well Tosin should never ever have been signed at all & anyone who disagrees should probably put down the crack pipe 🤣

Santos has been amazing. Absolutely amazing. I can admit I was wrong about him. Every single time he gets the ball deep he looks up and makes an offbeat pass or first touch pass that completely freezes Leeds. He has been incredible.

  47. I was at the under 18s FA Youth Cup tie against Man City last night. A friend sent me the story of Paul Green's departure from the club. As soon as I saw it, I began discussing it with a bunch of other CFCW regulars. One of the theories we discussed was that Sonia wanted more autonomy because, notionally at least, she reported to Paul who then reported to the sporting directors and the CEO. Sonia has spoken a number of times about how closely she works with the sporting directors on various topics. Regardless of how she might personally have felt about her relationship with Paul, and I don't know either way, you can see how the manager would prefer not to have a third voice potentially diluting or gainsaying her own thoughts. I'm not fully convinced that Paul Green was that impactful around the team. He had the administrative role to manage the Team during the Emma Hayes era but she made all of the team decisions, including transfers. Right at the end Emma's time the club created the post of CEO for the women's team to manage the budget, business side, and player contracts. This limited Paul's function still further. I think these factors have more or less squeezed his role out of existence. I don't foresee anything changing other than everyone will have stopped pretending that Paul's job continued to exist in any meaningful way. Naturally Sonia would want to make all footballing decisions herself but, understanding that the club structure means she can't, she would want to work directly with the people who do. Whether it's right or it's wrong, Wintstanley and Stewart are those people. I also watched the women's under 21s v ManU last week so my personal score in academy games this month is Chelsea 2, Manchester 11.
