The Next Manager?

The comments below have nothing to do with Europe in the slightest, and they are what I had issue with.

I am not trying to play lawyer or anything, but he said “a dude who has never even managed in Europe, never mind a TOP club“.

From here, I understood that he meant Gallardo never managed a European club, nevermind a top (European) one. But my logic might be flawed.

In any case, I don't think anyone here is disrespecting River Plate, it's just that that's a completely different world of football, compared to the European one.

And bringing a manager from there straight to an elite club in Europe would be a gamble to say the least. In my opinion, it would be completely idiotic and just another proof that our new owners are absolutely clueless.

By the way, the last time such a situation happened was when Barcelona appointed Gerardo Martino, because Messi liked him. That was a complete disaster.

I can't believe I'm actually saying this but if we wanted a caretaker manager we should have asked Roy.

Always thought Potter would make a great interim manager until a real manager arrived. 😅

Potter last 5 games after 3 wins we draw Everton and lost against Villa. Bruno draw with Liverpool. But in these 3 games we had xG around 2,5. Lampard couldn't reach that in 2 games. We are actually regressing.

Don't really think that would have been fair on him, would mean many potential next jobs would come and go while he's here as a sitting duck.

Reason i namedropped Roy is because he was a good safe pair of hands for England in the Euro's when Cappello suddenly quit and you would hope we wouldn't have been stupid enough to give him the full time gig like the FA did.

I understand that we are talking about promise at times, which is subjective, but I just don't see enough tangible experience in Potter's prior work to warrant the opportunity he's got. Potter is still making more money than he ever made before--and likely he will make anytime soon, so could just have kept him doing whatever he was doing before. The prior work part notoriously affects the sway the manager has with the players.

Makes sense to keep an interim at this point until the "right" manager becomes available, or can be made available. I have no trust in the current owner tho... arrogant and lost at the same time--a pretty bad combo.

We are in serious trouble... Lampard as manager... what a fucking dumb decision that was. I have been backing these owners as I want it to work but this is one monumental fuck up. Its actually beyond embarrassing.

I told a lot of times in shed forum the same

It was a abysmal decision

'We have an important game against Wolves on Saturday and then we will turn our attention to our Champions League quarter-final in Madrid next week. We are all going to give Frank our full backing as we aim to get the best possible outcome from all our remaining games.'

Just your regular reminder about what these morons said.

Probably sat down with Dr. Strange to see all the possible outcomes to make this shit decision.

Fuck off you twats.

We are devoid of any ideas on the pitch now. The last two games have been worse than any in the Potter run barring Spurs away.

The board deserves this for hiring Lampard without so much as a recruiting process

And you were probably in minority there. Most of the people there are deluded.

My problem with our board is that they said this "lampard was unfair fired"

wtf?

it will be long 10 years... I hope we enjoyed our recent sucess and thats it

Chelsea invite Julian Nagelsmann to 'present his ideas' to club chiefs, as their search for a permanent manager goes on... as Blues 'offer the German coach and Luis Enrique to meet with them' before making a final decision

The more information that we get about these people I am favoring Enrique over Nags. If Nags lost the locker room at Bayren that fast, this group needs an authority manager. I still think highly of Nags, I just don't know that he is ready for this group of players.

But only Nagelsman can develope young talanted players from ppl mentioned..

And i dont want Ferran Torres and some other Enrique favourite players here..

And i think if Nags was still leading Bayern they would have done better vs City..
