Only thing that would make up for this L now is Gvardiol who I’ve wanted since before the window opened and we were linked. But even if offered Leipzig 70m at this point they’d probably turn it down since they know we’re desperate.

Lol....

This place is pure comedy....few weeks ago nobody really wanted Kounde here....the least popular name here....after few weeks now and potentially losing out on him... see people calling us all sorts of names....

The manner in which we're seemingly losing players is the issue. However, the man doing all of the legwork is someone who knows nothing or very little about football.

Once this window shuts, someone qualified and with a respectable past needs to be appointed.

So you think if Pep or Klopp was managing Chelsea they wouldn't be able to pull top players? TT has no pull. Even Mourinho would have attracted all the top players. Its nothing to do with the Club. It's the manager

Off the top of my head Deco, Rooney and Gerrard (twice) rejected us under Jose the first time.

Sure...but Kounde case is a bit different...we never wanted him immediately Boehly took over instead we were chasing piss poor Ake which is enough for Kounde to reject us and De Ligt...the moment we couldn't complete those deals we came back running after him....

You my friend are a fucking idiot. Barca has more pull than Chelsea regardless who's in charge infact Barca has 1 of the best pulls in the world. So to sit there and blame TT makes u a fucking idiot, so do me a favor take that new account you have just created and stick it up your arse.

Even I agree with some of your points I do believe he has a point, he just wrote it in a childish manner but sometimes I think the manager does influence it. Haaland would of chosen City over any other team in the league due to Pep's style of football. Tuchel a top manager but a lot of players want to play under managers that play 'exciting football'.  Barca is a  bigger pull generally yes, but my hypothetical view is if City had been in for De Ligt he would have gone there possibly over Bayern because of their style of football. Football philosophy is key also.

Yeah, just like I said a week or so ago, Barcelona buying 50+ mil players every week, but as it stands, they can't register anyone for a shit, until they'll pull of another shady money flip. I'll laugh so hard if Lewy, Raphinia and Kondue, who we didn't want last season and shouldn't now, will have a holiday of their lives as they won't be able to play in any game for a few years to come, lol

My point is this. Blame TT all you want he's a champions league winning manager. You telling me Xavi has more of a pull than TT? If this is the case all managers should just retire now and let ex players take over. The only reason Barca can get the players over us is wearing that iconic kit and playing in that iconic stadium! Has absolutely nothing to do with style of play.

That might be the case, but we have supposedly had a deal in place for a number of days, only for us to "stall", allowing Barcelona to sell another percentage of their training ground or car park to finance a move.

Xavi does not have more of a pull but as good a manager Tuchel is, do I think other players abroad have that 'wanting to play under Tuchel' factor? No and that is not a disrespectful thing. Do I think Pep does? Probably more so because he is known to play an attractive style of football and I would say he has more of a convincing factor. I am not stating Pep is a better manager whatsoever, just saying he would manage to lure more players imo so say if City went for Kounde, he wouldn't join because of City but because of whose in charge.

Not sure I’m buying this “Tuchel has no pull” stuff. He’s not current Mourinho or some coach who is infamous for playing turgid, defensive football. And every player raves about how pleasant he is on a personal basis. We can see how classy he is in every media appearance. He’s a CL winning manager who is hugely respected. We have just been super unlucky that just about every target we have gone after this summer is also being sought after by the only 3-4 clubs that are more attractive than Chelsea.

If we were losing out on our top targets to Arse, Spuds, other other clubs beneath us stature wise I’d be worried. But this is Barca and Bayern we’re being gazumped by. Two iconic clubs.

What is surprising is that Tuchel doesn’t seem to target any German talents being a German who is well familiar with that league. You would think he’d be pretty useful in convincing them to come.
