TrippingStep 336
I don't know about boycott as protest but there is likely gonna be some sort of reaction from the fans on Sunday. There have been suggestions that there will be chants (or whatever you want to call it) in the 10th minute.Great it will not put pressure on Oscar, he's already overplaying trying to do too much while he would be better if he would calm down. nadavTKL 1,787
I wrote the Midfield-Attack which i belive we'll have for the next few years, plus Salah, Schurrle and Lukaku. When im looking at it i think It cant get more Mourinho than this - speed, work rate, power, technical abilities and off course the 'badass attitude'. When Oscar is in the heart of everything.I have a feeling Costa would be our striker eventually, he's THE Mourinho type of player. Rooney too but i dont think he'll come anymore.-----Matic-Ramires----Wiliian-Oscar--Hazard---------Costa-----------Im excited about that, think it will be a very tough side to play against and could possibly create a soild dynasty like 10 years ago. Special Juan 28,187
Way of the world now in football 'certain' fans attend games with fire in their bellies to cause bad atmospheres, yet the normal fan goes to cheer on the team and sing. AndersonBLUE 819
It's annoying that Jose sold to Mata to Utd but chanting about it would be a bit too far. zolayes, kellzfresh and SinineUltra
sdrcfc 461
Negative chanting won't do anything positively for the club. We all want the same success here at Chelsea, believe in Mourinho and the team.

kellzfresh 7,229
Would be stupid to see chants again, piling up unnecessary pressure on the players after we derailed our season last year with chanting. Popular Post! didierforever 7,349 Posted January 23, 2014 Popular Post! Share Posted January 23, 2014 it depends on what the chants are exactly. there is nothing wrong in paying a tribute to a POTY twice in a row, who actually was not even given a chance to leave to the crowd's applause. the least mata deserved was that. lionsden, Stingray, sdrcfc and 6 others
Zolan025 21
Lets just hope that Oscar, Hazard and Willian don't get injuried, suspended, tired or have a loss of form at the same time. JM really is taking a gamble because all it takes is a string of unfortunate circumstances and we will seriously lack creative cover. I also wonder whether the 3 incumbant players will continue to perform at the same level for the rest of the season given the fact that we have gotten rid of 2 AM players.Guess a couple of these players must be breathing a sigh of relief given the sale of 2 AM players. Where is the competiton that JM is so keen on, cos right now I don't see it.This Chelsea Management need to get Everton and Atletico to stop running their mouths off on wanting to keep our players. Basically unsettling our loaned players. When Martinez was at Wigan he didn't ever talk about wanting to keep any Man Utd players in the team.........a distinct lack of respect shown by these teams to us, which shouldn't be tolerated. Why hasn't somebody from the Chelsea board or management told them to shut up about the future of our contracted players. Popular Post! Barbara 15,149 Posted January 23, 2014 Popular Post! Share Posted January 23, 2014 I think it's fair to pay homages to Mata, but I don't expect anything against Mourinho. We went from being reliant on Mata to being competitive without him. There's nothing to complain about maybe except him going to ManUtd, but not sure how much of a saying he has on it. He did say few weeks back Mata wss free to leave if he wanted... Popular Post! Rmpr 8,977 Posted January 23, 2014 Popular Post! Share Posted January 23, 2014 In my opinion, Jose cant be blamed for Mata's exit because he is only doing what he thinks is best for the club!I mean, in all his interviews he has spoken highly of Juan and I even felt a sense of guilty for letting such a good player on the bench. However, there is nothing anyone could have done. Managers always have their perfered style and Mata-Jose just dont go well together. It is unfortunate, but it is true!It was never going to work and the best for both parties is to just part ways, unfortunately...Now, if I were him (especially if he really wants to be here long term), I would never give United a chance of rebirth. I would talk to Mata and say you still need him and ask for him to wait until the Summer. Juan is not the kind of player who would cause trouble over it!I would use him in the 6 remaining months and then work out a better deal with a better team... Juan is not the kind of player who would cause trouble over it!I would use him in the 6 remaining months and then work out a better deal with a better team...Of course it's because of Mourinho that Mata left. I had a few concerns with Chelsea re-hiring Mourinho and the first was that many of our players didn't fit Mourinho's system and Jose wasn't a very flexible manager. He has his system and that's what he always plays. He emphasizes defensive responsibility, pressure, and counter-attack and only players who fit into that system will have success and players who don't will be ousted. Mata was always a poor fit and it's not really a surprise that he's on the way out. We hired Mourinho and we are sticking with him so this is the result. There's no surprise here and long-term it makes no sense to have an elite player wasting away on your bench. His value to other teams is way greater than it is to us so we might as well maximize that to get players that fit.
