Share Posted May 5, 2015 http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-3067784/Chelsea-boss-Jose-Mourinho-believes-Premier-League-competitive-Europe-laughs-comparisons.htmlMourinho is wrong here. PL is more competitive due to lack of dominant teams. Brazilian league is perhaps the most competitive in the world, but the quality of football is incredible low. He said in PL top clubs cant beat the inferior ones by 6 or 8. He is right, but its more related with lack of teams good enough to smash the weak ones, than the teams of the bottom of the table being decent. We must remind Jose that in 2010 we won the PL trophy with a amazing 8-0 result against Wigan in the last game.Barcelona and Real would easily score up to 5 against sides like Burnley, Sunderland and QPR. Henrique 9,133
Last time Chelsea won PL was back in 2010. In 2 seasons, Mourinho already reached one UCL semi-final, and 2 domestic trophies, including a major one. Thats quite impressive for any manager. Perhaps he is not as good as he used to be, but definitely he seems the right man for the job at his moment. Jase 43,479
Basically put: Attractive football in the first half, cautious football in the 2nd. The football played in the 2nd half of the season resulted in Chelsea receving the boring tag, but it has brought results. In that last part he says, the players don't deserve this, but Mourinho is the reason for the way they've been playing. Even though the players are capable of playing fantastic football. This is nothing new though. Gullit loves attacking football and has always criticised Chels whenever they play defensive or cautious football. You have to understand, Gullit is of the Dutch school. Wasn't he the one that coined the phrase 'sexy football' back when he was Chelsea's manager? You won't believe how much stick Chelsea receives in The Netherlands. It doesn't suit the Dutch philosophy.I don't disagree with that but it's silly of Gullit not to understand the circumstances that led to our sub-par performances in 2015 before criticising. It's not like Mourinho decided to change the style for no good reason. Barbara, darrus and stroey

Blue Colored Sky 1,807
Jose is an absolute joke when he talks about other leagues while he is now in the Premier League. Lol. It's complete U-turn in the approach, in what he says comparing with what he said between 2008-2013.And there's one single fact I'd like to point at. He says that you cannot score in the Premier League so many, with convincingly margin yet in the last season both Liverpool and Man City scored 102 goals in the Premier League and the same 102 goals was the record in the Spanish La Liga until 2012 (which was set in 2011 by Real Madrid themself).I don't want to dwell to much in this but he talks so much bullshit and contradiction things that it is funny in some ways. Who he wants to kid though. Especially by this sarcastic comments about other leagues and how kit-man would have won them all. Probably he talks particularly about Serie A even though he said that Italian league was by far the most difficult from tactical point of view and the most difficult to prepare for every match because every opponent knew so much about tactic and discipline. But Juventus 4th win in the row is probably regarded as sub-par achievement now by Jose comparing to the great Premier League title.

He's right that it's more competitive here, you can't seriously admit that a team can win the epl 4 straight years like Juventus did in Italy. The real reason is the top english teams are poor in quality compared to the first teams in the other top leagues(two in Spain). When he was in Madrid, he directly said that every other team will come third behind Madrid and Barcelona. He never really said it was the best competition in Spain. He was right. The Italian league was far stronger when he was there, evidenced by how only one team can make it past the group stages. Ibrahimovic and Cavani used to play there so the quality has dropped drastically from 2009 compared to now. Only Juventus is strong now, no inter, no Milan to contest now. Mourinho lies here and there, mindgames but he tells the truth as it is most often. stroey, Barbara and duren batu

United won 3, were behind Chelsea by total 1 point in 2010, won in 2011 and were level with City in 2012 and won in 2013. So they have won 5 in 7 years and didn't win 7 in 7 only by like 1,5 points.Juventus was 7th when Mou was there, Milan haven't won the league since 2004 and just lost Kaka. Inter won already 3 titles on the bounce before Jose and Mou own admission was that only Roma was a threat in his time at Inter. Cavani was a noob when Mou was there and Ibrahimovic was transferred to Barcelona. Besides that's not the point, the point was that the Italian league was the most difficult from tactical and disciplinary point of view as Mourinho admiited several times. Now Spain. His own words are that the Spanish League is the most difficult league to win. He said that, everybody knows that. And now it's even more difficult because Atletico became a force, Valencia are reborn as a force, Sevilla is always pain in the ass and they're very strong and there's Real and Barca. You seriously can't say it's easier than the Premier League if anything it's more difficult because you have to win win and win because you have wonderful team like Barca. And to be fair those 5 afromentioned teams are stronger than 5 teams from Premier League. There are Granadas that are lagging behind but Mourinho's Real slipped on them in 2012-13 and was left out of the competition for championship, so it's not easy at all when you have such an obligation to win.Lastly, I know why Mourinho is saying this. He said in the interview in reaction to Bale's words that La Liga is better than the Premier League that Bale thinks like that because he's there currently. So I understand this but it's a complete U-turn and there is only one thing that pains me. Because Jose said previously how hard is for managers to win anything and how hard this job is and how managers should get more respect for what they do, for the pressure they face ... Yet he jeers somebody's else achievements and underappreciate it which is contradiction to what he said. And that's not nice. And it's even more weird when he for example teases Pep achievement in winning Bundesliga because Pep has an obligation to win it but it's still a huge pressure on him. And Jose endured such pressure and such obligation in 2012-13 when he gave up title challange in autumn even though he had an obligation to fight till the last days. Then he endured unbearable critics from everywhere because he failed to win against Granadas and such. He should remember that. Or maybe he erased that memory from him completely. kellzfresh 7,229
There are not lies 'here and there' but complete reverse in his approach.Oh okay, now I understand you. That's why I said he has to defend the premier League even if he's saying a complete reverse. But if Mourinho says the premier League is the most competitive but its harder to win the Spanish League, he hasn't really lied it's just perspective. You can't expect English team win 4th in the row ? United won 3, were behind Chelsea by total 1 point in 2010, won in 2011 and were level with City in 2012 and won in 2013. So they have won 5 in 7 years and didn't win 7 in 7 only by like 1,5 points.Exactly, it was competitive, tight. United never got 90 points in all those years like Barcelona and Madrid do, hence the premier League is more competitive. On a side note, you underestimate Ferguson. He won the league so many times with average players like parkjisung, Cleverley, oshea, brown etc. And the few times he had proper quality teams he either won the Champions League or got to the final. Fergusons manutd is an exception, he was so good. Juventus was 7th when Mou was there, Milan haven't won the league since 2004 and just lost Kaka. Inter won already 3 titles on the bounce before Jose and Mou own admission was that only Roma was a threat in his time at Inter. Cavani was a noob when Mou was there and Ibrahimovic was transferred to Barcelona. Besides that's not the point, the point was that the Italian league was the most difficult from tactical and disciplinary point of view as Mourinho admiited several times.Like I said earlier, he never said the Italian league is more competitive, he said it's tactically difficult. Every team prepare more tactically instead of just coming with their regular game-plan. So he didn't lie again. Now Spain. His own words are that the Spanish League is the most difficult league to win. He said that, everybody knows that. And now it's even more difficult because Atletico became a force, Valencia are reborn as a force, Sevilla is always pain in the ass and they're very strong and there's Real and Barca. Lastly, I know why Mourinho is saying this. He said in the interview in reaction to Bale's words that La Liga is better than the Premier League that Bale thinks like that because he's there currently.does he want to sign bale?
