The Chels 2,502
If we weren't willing to pay £55m (PSG won't want to make a loss) when we actually needed a striker then why would be willing to now having already bought Costa? Never mind the fact that Cavani would just have the same problems here as at PSG. Non-story.

Tchege 48
Cavani won't be sold by PSG this season and PSG doesn't need money to complete the transfer of Di Maria. They'll get Di Maria the same way they got Serge Aurier, Di Maria will go to Paris as a loan this year and PSG will pay for him next year.

What would they gain out of that arrangement? Say Real Madrid loans Di Maria to PSG and he gets a career threatening injury (heaven forbid) that results in PSG deciding against signing him on a permanent deal - Real Madrid would have essentially screwed themselves over. More likely scenario is PSG paying Real Madrid Di Maria transfer over a period of time. They don't have to pay upfront if Real Madrid agrees to it. Di Maria transfer fee will only partially apply to PSG in this fiscal year.As for Cavani is not going to happen, to much resources would be allocated to the striker position. I believe Cavani makes 250K a week at PSG, that is contract i don't see many club touching + transfer fee. dee25 and Bluelsthecolour
gary gordon 1,777
Carlo would definitely still have a close relationship with PSG and be willing to help them out when he could.
LAB 1,030
Doesn't make any sense. We can't just switch to a 2-striker system.
Marvin123 537
Cavani and Costa could switch with one up top, like Torres did with Costa against vitesse. Seemed strange he started Torres there. And remember every game we wasn't gettin the result we wanted he put 2 strikers on and 3 at the back
Ryan Fong 2,776
Anybody else rate Costa higher than this guy? Really no need to sign another striker at the same calibre as Costa's.
gary gordon 1,777
I use to rate Cavani, but lately, he's been pretty average. Did Fuck-all for Uruguay in the WC and his form for PSG since he's been there has hardly lived up to the price tag. I think we should avoid this guy. iseah100

Pizy 18,952
Again, José says three strikers is essential and sounds absolutely adamant that Torres is staying. No way will this happen.

Instead bunch of times it was Ibrahimovic who was on all those positions where Cavani would've wanted to be. You can see how well Higuain did when Napoli put him up front and stared giving him chances just like they did to Cavani. It seems dumb to sell Cavani with Ibra not getting any younger.
