DH1988 1,348
Reading that a club has paid compensation to Brighton for De Zerbi, it obviously isn't the release clause but apparently it's a very very small amount.

Implies Poch wanted something more and the club cannot agree, so they decided to part ways. Whether that is a sensible decision then depends on what he wants. If, as rumoured, it is more powers over transfers then I would say it is the right decision for all involved to part ways - I can see why he wants it but he's also got too big of an ego to accept that he is BAD at it, like maybe one of the worst of all the famous managers in the last 10 years. If it was something more general, like he wanted to tweak the clubs strategy to include a few more experienced players amidst the youth, then I would say the club has got it wrong (as long as his expectation was not also that he would be picking these experienced lads himself) If we go for De Zerbi I think it is an upgrade personally. Really not sure on the other candidates. You have been pushing for De Zerbi for the last 3 pages in here pep beat him 4 times this year

I'm sure other good options exist, but as a person that mostly watches PL he is a simple and safe option to me that guarantees many of the things I wanted to see this season and saw none of. Better to get Motta or Amorim De Zerbi is Italy bound, same as Motta. Amorim has a big release clause. Thats what I said. People want Poch gone bc they dream of all these replacements that just arent available. And in the end we end up with McKenna or Mourinho 3.

SinineUltra 1,170
If true, it's a bad call in my opinion. Uncertainty and instability all over again. RDZ is definately not a bad manager, but for sure overhyped and has this Mourinho like aura that can lift the team, but also destroy relationships in a second. Gundalf 806
Just when the team gained some trust in themselfs and the manager, starting a winning streak, ending the season with a lot of positive mood and optimism for the new season, they change the manager lol. So another "rebuild-season" incoming. Also: the players wont like this. The new manager will automatically have a squad of doubtful and grumpy players in front of him. Great. OneMoSalah 8,886
I don’t think Tuchel will come back in all honesty. Plus I think Boehly & co are too proud to admit they made a mistake in the first place. So much for stability though, 4th head coach (5th if we include Lampard) in 2.5 seasons. They clearly don’t have a clue what they are doing. I wouldn’t be surprised if Poch was extremely keen to leave though. whats happening 1,621
absolutely idiotic decision by the club. 3 minutes ago, Gundalf said: Worst Bayern season in the last decade. No thanks. Mhsc 1,098
Tuchel's main problems came from us not having a good structure/staff in place yet, but equally his football was quite uninspiring, he was just a very good in-game tactician. He wouldn't be top of my list but an upgrade on Poch imo.

Seymop 90
Well I guess many people on here will be pleased. I previously said “ Be careful what you wish for” and now it looks like it has happened. I am totally gutted and far more importantly I think the majority of the team will be gutted. We just cannot go on sacking coaches if they don’t gain immediate success. Sixth and European football was a massive step forward in one year at the helm. Many players had improved individually and the team as a whole improved It was always on the cards that with constant pressure from the media, lack of support from the owners and with a section of supporters not fully behind him, that Poch would walk and it now looks like he has. I for one think it’s a sad day and a very poor reflection on the club. I dread to think where we go from here . Laylabelle

nyikolajevics 2,702
I don't know, not sure if this is really sacking.. Poch seemed unhappy during the whole season, even spring time, many times I felt he is saying the right thing but his body language and facial expressions showed a person who doesn't really want to be here.. I don't know who should be next.. Tuchel is the best option I feel, but him(same as Conte), their biggest downside is their personality. 6-18 months and they burn up bridges with owners, players, fans.. I'm not too enthusiastic about De Zerbi. McKenna did a wonder with b2b promotion. If I was him, I would accept offer from any other PL team, this Ipswich seems to be the next Luton. But I feel he would be eaten alive here. Mhsc
