No idea but he grew up in London and was only round the corner in QPR's academy so it's very possible.

robsblubot 3,595
Yes, I understand he's a bit polarizing (understatement), and can be predictable at times, as someone else pointed out here. In the end of the day tho, Sterling is a good player and one who would certainly add quality to any team in the PL. I just don't see his characteristics as something we lack; quite the opposite actually, I think we have an overabundance of players of his style and position. Lukaku's situ is hard to read. It could be the club trying to make him lower his wages, so we pay less during the loan. The club might think it's not worthwhile to pay a high percentage of his wages when he's playing elsewhere, so let's "see" how much Lukaku really wants to join Inter. Evident we need another holding midfielder this season, unless we want to take our chances with Ampadu/Gilmour. Rabiots not really a holding midfielder though, he’s more box to box although I think he’s likely flexible enough to play as a 6. Not sure how he’s done for Juve but he used to be a very good, well rounder midfielder. 2 hours ago, ZAPHOD2319 said: There seems to be a pattern developing that Tuchel’s input was not being taken serious. Tuchel wants De Ligt and Marina wanted to finish her deal to acquire Kounde. It seems that in every instance that there is a major difference, Boehly is backing Tuchel and showing people the door, or allowing them to leave immediately that want to challenge Tuchel’s idea of what the team should be. I hope the players are aware of this. Did you just make this up? Or is there a source? I thought it was very well stated Tuchel was impressed by Kounde and wanted him last summer to be our RCB in a back 3. No? There seems to be much more talk re Boehly leaning heavily on Tuchel for his input as opposed to under previous managers with Roman due to the circumstances re Marina and Cech leaving but until we sign a couple of players we won’t truly know. And if this is a long term strategy or temporary to a DoF comes in and they can sort of delegate/pick up some of the slack and maybe allow Tuchel to work more on coaching (although obviously to be on same page and have his opinions taken in as I am sure he did under with Marina) or even to take some of the responsibility off of Boehly so he can focus on other areas too. For me, Tuchel has always said and hinted he is much more at home focusing on coaching as opposed to the politics of the media handling and transfers so we have to see. He has had disputes before regarding transfers when being more involved and he has openly admitted this about his time at Paris and Dortmund so he might not want to be as hands on as he will be this summer (until we get things up and running with regards to the structuring of the club with the changes and a DoF). De Ligt was not a possibility at that time. there are better articles about Marina pushing but this sums it up also. Artandur
Pizy 18,984
Really hope we get de Ligt done quickly (as in this week) before United sew up de Jong. They’re so focused on him for now but if they wrap that up I could see them going hard for de Ligt. He’s probably great mates with Frenkie and with the obvious Ten Hag/Ajax connection, de Ligt would probably give them very serious consideration over us. All of that and United would be silly enough to offer him wages we probably wouldn’t touch. If we can have Sterling & de Ligt done this week and also finally have complete clarity one way or the other in Dembele’s situation that would be lovely. De Ligt may be friends with De Jong but he the lad has ambition hence why he would chose us over United regardless. Strike

Stats 7,152
It feels Ake's rep has gone down since he joined City, however I remember when he left Bournemouth, a lot of fans wanted him and were shocked when we did not trigger the buy back option. Thing is, he has not declined, he just is behind better defenders at City, hence why he doesn't get much game time. In a back three, I think he would be really good here. As you say, he’s behind better defenders at City. A club whose level in the league we’re trying to reach and yet we are going to buy a defender who can’t get into their side? I was one of those people who was keen on buying him back from Bournemouth before he went to City. But buying him now after he has stagnated in the bench for ages sounds so risky. ZAPHOD2319 4,822
I just hope we keep Colwill and over the course of the season he shows he is ready. I really hope Colwill, Conor, and Broja get a chance to prove their worth. Also hope Chalobah keeps developing. A major emphasis with the Dodgers is getting young players into their farm system and developing them to starting players. I hope that emphasis follows so it is players from the academy to the first team.

One of Ten Hag's first actions in his first United presser was to suck off Harry Maguire. They invested in Varane last summer and bizarrely are dead set in making Maguire work, CB is the last place they're investing in certainly for the price it would take for MDL.
