The Mourinho Thread

And I always thought PVC was short for Polyvinyl chloride whilst Luxemburgo is a small European country^^

I don't know shit about what is said in Brazlian media by some whatsoever idk commentators. Whilst I don't like most of them anyway, I appreciate German commentators for not saying anything they are not sure about + they don't try to influence clubs they dislike by spreading rumours. So whatever your Polyvinyl chloride guy said about bad training and players leaking about it, as a Chelsea supporter I don't give a shit and I don't believe it will affect the club what Filipe Luis, an understandably bitter Chelsea outcast, passes onto the media.

And last - only because s.o. likes a post does not mean they are blind in their opinions. I have seen people mockingly like posts completely slagging them off. Liking does not equal supporting every syllable in it.

Back on topic.

Credit where it is due. Mourinho made some tactical and motivational tweaks and they worked out. The players interchanged positions like mad, Norwich had trouble marking them so we found openings every few minutes. Kenedy at left back is unconventional but it gave us another skilfull passing outlet. He also created some chances on his own, sadly there was no one in the middle finishing them off. I still don't get why he played Iva on the right instead of Azpi. Norwich are not particularly tall and Azpi does still contribute more offensively than Iva. Fabregas also improved, the time on the bench really did him a favour. He was more determined and focused, not suffering a single turnover, holding onto the ball amidst physical challenges. One thing that has been lacking for years now is finishing. Since the beginning of Mou's second coming, our finishing has been poor. Mou really should hire a psychologist or an attacking coach to work that out for once. I know confidence is low, but you really should not go down under a challenge until the opportunity to score is gone. If you stay on your feet even if you can't score, the defender has to intensify the contact and eventually foul you. Then you can still dive more convincingly. Also when defending we are still very nervous. Understandably but with the experience we have, there should be a time when the corner gets turned and stays turned. All in all, still a lot of hard work to accomplish until we click again but I am confident, with some reinforcements in January we can string an ok season together.

His name is Paulo Vinicius Coelho hence the uninspired nickname.

I find it weird that a post talking about a Brazilian commentator that I'm sure Europeans never heard gets the thumb up. As you said, it was about polyvinyl chloride for all you know. PVC opinion wasn't even stated, just what kind of professional he is. That's like you guys describing a porn actress and I liking it [emoji12] [emoji87]

To be fair, that latter part is a bit harsh considering it's just a one-off at the moment. If he continues to use Kenedy at LB, then the point you're trying to make would certainly be more valid. And let's not also act as if Mourinho is the only one who does such thing. Even everyone's favorite Guardiola has a tendency to experiment and play players in unfamiliar positions. There isn't really much of a difference.

Actually Kenedy is pretty rough, so perhaps he can become a killer LB. When Bale started his Spurs career he was a fullback. Actually using Kenedy as a LB was really unMourinho.

I doubt a loan is what it takes to make him more mobile on the pitch. Sometimes it's just a personality thing.

It might not make him more mobile...but it would help refine his skills and it would give him a dose of reality by making him understand the level of work required to become a first team player at any EPL club.

Need to see more of him at LB first then because as well as he did on Saturday, Norwich barely attacked us and even when they did, they were more interested in targeting Ivanovic than a 19-year-old playing out of position in the backline.

le saux was bad mouthing mourinho to english media weeks ago i think he was getting his payback on le saux

Exactly that! He's the manager of one of the biggest European clubs not a seven year old who always needs to get the last say. How insecure do you need to be to not even let something as small as that slip?!

And it's bloody stupid as well, isn't it? I, and I'd bet most people, hadn't even heard/read what Le Saux had said until be decided to make this childish jibe back. Sigh...

Who gives a shit if Kenedy played at LB? I'm not related to Azpi, I don't give a shit about his feelings. I want a damn win and in the end that's all that matters. Kenedy should be playing more often I don't care if it's at striker. He plays with youthful abandon and has a go not playing chess or ping pong like Hazard and Costa. Have a go ffs

And if Mourinho wants to respond in the media to something who the f are you to say he shouldn't? Who made you the almighty savior? At least Jose had something to say and he's honest not like a bunch of these scaredy cat coaches in the EPL

what Le Saux said was plastered all over the media and well documented. Basically in his new role as a member for FA Inclusion Advisory Board blaming Mourinho for putting the game back 30 years over the discrimination with Eva.

So mugged off Mourinho and Chelsea before the full facts have been revealed and this after being a club ambassador and leaving the role to join the FA Inclusion Advisory Board.

Remembering of course Jose's explanation that Kennedy was selected precisely because of the expectation that Norwich would not attack down that flank. Clearly that was just a once in a lifetime lucky guess by a coach who knows nothing. Naturally I didn't realise that the multi trophy winner knew nothing until the experts who spare enough of their time to post in this thread enlightened me. Who knew this was the place to find all of the greatest living exponents of coaching theory?

Bloody hell, sarcasm. I must be really tired. Still shouldn't let the inmates get to me though.

Never ever backs down, that's the way it should be.
If you wanna pick a fight do it, but it will come back to you.
That was classic Jose, hope he's back to his best.

The upcoming match is a must not lose one, but against the Yids, we truly need a Mourinho masterclass.
