The most surprising thing about this summer for me is the fact that City made the kind of signings I expected Chelsea to make. They went out and bought players to improve the first XI. I don't understand why Chelsea didn't do this (Pedro was last minute and obviously a reaction to the poor performances and results).

I was merely being smug. Mostly, it was directed at non-Chelsea supporting Mourinho fans. Nothing about being big headed or anything.
