didierforever 7,349
For people moaning about our set up in big (home) games, our record last season at home:United 3-1City 2-1Liverpool 2-1Arsenal 6-0Spurs 4-0This season:Arsenal 2-0Spurs 3-0You can't win with such figures by "parking the bus."I've let out the away results cause people are moaning bout the next big home game. But even our away results are quite good.People have short memories, you guys should not blindly follow the media and opposite fans. Teams dream of having this kind of results in big games, can we improve? Of course, but we are a work in progress and we should really be happy with what we're doing.but but but... i read on redcafe that we will "park the bus", that place is like the word of god!!! stroey, Muzchap and Bosnian Blue
Sheva. 5,373
But you just know how we're gonna set up. You just know that. And yesterday in Monday Night Football Gary Neville said that Mourinho is going to play with Zouma in the midfield and we will have 6 defensive players and will rely on magic from Hazard or set-piece. But everyone know that as a truth now. Everything different from that will be a surprise. We're only associated with that type of football. We have to set up defensively against such players like Young, Fellaini and never uncapped Herrera. At home. Only think to grind out draw at the end.And people here will tell me that I should dance because we survived.MnF clearly exaggerated what will happen. Mourinho will play Mikel/Zouma/Ramires in midfield like he has done for most big games, and especially since Utd will have so many midfielders out there. That leaves Hazard, Cesc, Remy and Willian, four attacking players to get the job done. Sadly, Willian is too weak in attack so we really have 3 attacking players, and 0 width on the right.

Gilvorak 3,734
Ideally it should be our opponents who are worried about us and devising strategies to shut us down but sadly that's not the case thanks to Mourinho's overly cautious and pragmatic approach. He's so one dimensional in big games that it's unreal. And people were criticizing wenger when he said Jose's too afraid of losing, He was absolutely spot on.Exactly this. The likes of United, Madrid, Bayern & Barcelona not only demand results but stylish football along with it yet we're supposedly spoiled for expecting a more proactive and progressive style of football from our manager. We aren't some plucky club battling relegation we're one of the biggest clubs in the World with some of the best players in football. Popular Post! Laugh1ngMan 393 Posted April 14, 2015 Popular Post! Share Posted April 14, 2015 I don't mind how Mou sets up in big games. The one thing i do mind is that it isn't working well anymore. We are not creating enough opportunities to score. Our counterattacking has been almost non existent since we don't really have the right kind of players for that anymore with the loss of Schurrle/Salah (only formation it might work with is Remy/Hazard/Willian/Ramires as the front 4)And for some reason we are incapable to play it out from the back so what we end up with is a game were we are constantly defending/hoofing it up field when we win the ball back/loose posession and start over again.Hence we are barely creating any scoring opportunities and are scraping results together mostly through a lot of luck (see QPR/Hull where we scored every single shot on target) Bosnian Blue, Blue-in-me-Veins, Mana and 5 others

Popular Post! Viper22 2,418 Posted April 14, 2015 Popular Post! Share Posted April 14, 2015 My marks for Mourinho this season:Results: 8.5/10 - We're almost definitely going to win the title, won the League Cup and got to the knockout stages of the CL. Performance: 7/10 - Played incredible football for the first 4/5 months of the season but injuries, suspensions and a drop in form for key players made it harder to maintain.Mind Games: 9/10 - Pellegrino has been his personal bitch all season, and Rodgers and LVG have wisely avoided messing with him.Tactics: 8/10 - Made a few small mistakes against Bradford, PSG (both legs) and Spurs on NYD but other than that has been largely spot on.Entertainment: 8.5/10 - I've been well and truly entertained by him this season. Watching him bang his head on the ground when Cuadrado missed was fantastic.Signings: 10/10 - Costa, Fabregas, Drogba, Luis, Courtois (to an extent). Need I say more?Finances: 10/10 - Balanced the books with sales of players for well above their values.Overall: ~8.75/10. He's one of us, and he'll always be The Special One. Amblève. 4,995
Why is Mourinho still getting credit for "keeping the books balanced"? Do people in 2015 seriously still believe Mourinho is negotiating transfer fees and salaries?

didierforever 7,349
WTF is this.We did play good football in the first 4 months, but it withered away since Swansea. In fact, our amazing form got wiped out by City after Spuds.Relying on rare goalkeeping errors will always be LUCK. Do you know what "mistake" means?! Look it up in a dictionary. It wasn't supposed to happen, we were LUCKY Green made that mistake and scored from there. How can Mourinho create a game plan that we should play slightly below average, then sniff out a big error from the opposition. You think De Gea or Ospina in our next two games will pull a Rob Green? My argument isn't rubbish FULL STOP. However your blindness needs to stop, FULL STOP. Our performances are way beyond poor, and it's getting way too consistent. I'm tired of this silly dumbass comment from idiots, "Chelsea isn't suited to meet your requirements" blah blah blah. These players are getting paid £200,000+ a week, and we are limping towards victory. I'm not saying Chelsea should play great football every game, but it's way too consistent now these poor performances. Go to each live match thread in the past like 10 games and you'll see how frustrated we are most parts.Because of these terrible performances from Chelsea, I can't say we will smash United and Arsenal comfortably. Phillips from QPR had an amazing chance to make it 1-0, but because of his quality, Courtois was superior. Do that against a much better striker, unless we are lucky, we would have been 1-0 down.We were 2 minutes away from meltdown in that match thread. Not because we would have drawn, it's because we way we had played. This QPR last minute victory is hiding the cracks. This "mentality" you guys are speaking of, may work against small teams because of their mistakes but PSG put us in our place and I won't be surprised that in-form United and Arsenal puts us down too.Remy and Costa's injury made the QPR game much more difficult I agree, but even though it seems I'm just talking about the QPR game I'm not. It's the past 10 games in all competitions. And it pisses me off that you guys are happy with the way we're playing but in the match threads it's a different story. Lets start from the begining. WTF is this was your first question. This was your hypocrisy being thrown right at you. You are dealing in hypotheticals with a bunch of IFS and yet fail to take into consideration anither of yours IF.Geniuses like you can't don't even understand basic nature of football and especially league football and come and post idiotic and downright idiotic posts on here. Do yiu understand what pressure is? Do u undrrstand how difficult it is to carry on playong at the sane level through out a season? Do you understand that this is a 38 game marathon and not a 3 game sprint in which if city cover up the gap after a string of tough games for us and easy ones for them, they suddenly become the best team. Look at their december fixtures and our december fixture. As sson as their tough fixtures started (evrton, arsenal etc) rhey xrumbled in a heap. And that's pro football for u not some simulation game in fifa and fm, the kind of world u r looking to be living in. "Waaaw waaaw.. I kind act like a stud in front of my friends and tell them we will win comfortably"... here is something, I can comfortably say "WE WilL BE PL CHAMPS" and get that thru your empty sack on the top of your head.As for luck.. oh definitely.. just 2 losses in 31 ganes.. all down to luck. 7 points ahead of 2nd place with a game in hand.. all down to luck. Talk about fullstops. Why don't you do somethings. Firstly get some perspective. Secondly, get your head out of your ass so u can actually see where we stand. So u can see that the amazing character and winning mentality being shown by this team. Also, here I was thinking that a foitball team had 11 players. And that a gk was actually the part of the team. Silly me. And his contribution were as a part of yhe team as would be gc or jt or iva's.But its all right. Nothing should stop u from cribbing, cryibg, moanong and bitching. Seems a way of life for some.Lastly, as for luck.. people makr their own luck. Dont try and bullshit about "luck" and shit.
