Popular Post! Gilvorak 3,734 Posted April 12, 2015 Popular Post! Share Posted April 12, 2015 Surely no one can be happy with the turgid shit we've played this entire year? We're just reliant on individual brilliance from Eden Hazard, opposition errors and set pieces. There's very little margin of error with that style of play which was emphatically emphasized against PSG in the CL.There has to be an evolution with Jose and in result the team next season. My biggest gripe with this team is we simply do not dominate possession like the elite teams (PSG, Bayern, Juve & Madrid) do. Expending so much energy chasing the ball will always lead to fatigue. OhForAGreavsie 6,090
His pathetic stubbornness is sickening. The frustration of watching the game vs QPR proved one thing; He shouldn't f**king be put on a pedestal if he isn't willing of taking advantage of our squad and balance the defending and attacking tactics, if we lose the title because he doesn't maximize the potential of the LB & RB positions, he should never be forgiven. Our left side was handicapped the whole game. Azpilicueta, bless him, was doing his best to connect with Hazard & Cesc in attack on many occasions but him being right-footed made it impossible for him to put in correct crosses with his left foot for example. I remember vividly a game under AVB where we played Norwich away and drew 0-0. If you look at the team sheet from that game and the team sheet to today's game, you can see that there has been an upgrade on many of the positions, but yet we're playing lethargically in a pathetic and frustrating way that makes you want to scream at the screen. It's pathetic that he keeps using the same selection, it's pathetic that he keeps using the pathetic excuse of Ivanovic and it's also pathetic that he doesn't learn from his pathetic mistakes. Like honestly, if Phillips' shot had went in and we drew/lost, would he have had a genuine explanation of why we didn't lose other than honestly say that QPR defended and pressed well? I really hate to be fear-mongering right now, but we've survived the dark days of Ancelotti 10/11, AVB & Di Matteo (Benitez did fine given the circumstances), and we have the means at our disposal to never experience those painful moments again. I don't mind grinding out results, but we need to minimize the risk of playing like we did today against all teams. Ivanovic is the one of a few to blame really. His complacency is plain to see, you can tell by his body language that he's not willing to go a painful extra mile of becoming better than he already is because he's guaranteed a starting spot for the remaining games. Your attitude is what's pathetic. As angry and frustrated as you were when you wrote this nonsense, is no more angry and frustrated than the rest of us are having read it. No doubt you believe you can see more than the rest of us can. No doubt you also believe you are able to apply better analysis to what you see than the rest of us are able to. Wrong and wrong. Popular Post! Barbara 15,149 Posted April 13, 2015 Popular Post! Funny though this new trend only started once City started dropping points right and left (because until then they were this amazing team - which now goes to Arsenal, although we're only leading because this is a shitty league) - which means the trend started when people realized if they didn't bring an argument to back their points up they'd look extremely idiotic being so harsh against the manager that brought us back to winning relevant titles. pHaRaOn, MrExcalibur100, FabHazard and 11 others

I love Jose and there isn't a better manager in the world. Does that mean we have to be happy with the way we are playing after all the promises he made when he returned??I do get it.. We're used to being underdogs for titles. We go to PSG 2nd leg as underdogs(since they dominated us in the first leg) we played well for 30mins till ibrahimovic gets red. All of a sudden we became massive favourites to go through and we turn to complete dogshite from there.
Popular Post! MrExcalibur100 7,124 Posted April 13, 2015 Popular Post! Share Posted April 13, 2015 It's the lack of rotation or even willingness to try something different with our fullbacks in every game that really perturbs me. Such a glaring weakness that hampers us attacking wise. Ivanovic looks tired and he's been garbage for weeks. He really isn't that good. Jose seems to think he's Maicon when he isn't. Azpilicueta, excluding the odd game is done as a left back; He's the most limited left back in the league. He also looks very vulnerable and beatable this season unlike last season. He was given quite a torrid time by QPR, and not for the first time this season. Why can't Mourinho try for once, Azplicueta at right back, you know in his ACTUAL position?! He's fantastic in both attack and defense in his real position, a complete fullback and a monstrous athlete. He showed that in his first season here under RDM and Benitez. His passing, technique, crossing and composure on the ball exquisite. Better than anything I've ever seen from Ivanovic. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IX5C5hQJff8 (I think some of our fans have forgotten how good Azpilicueta was in the 2012/13 season. Benitez made him the starting RB over Ivanovic and he was boss that season)Same thing with Filipe Luis. We all know how good he is technically. He has a great game, then he's not given a game in a month, which is unfair. Like Azpilicueta (when played in his right position) Filipe Luis is one of the most complete full-backs in the world. I'm not sure some of our fans are aware how good that player is. We have two of the top 5 most complete fullbacks on the planet, but they never get a game together. Very strange. I'm entirely convinced we will be able to stretch defensive teams better if we make this adjustment to the XI. Right now, we're playing with a right back at left back and a former centre back at right back, with a front 3 behind the striker that all want the ball to feet. It makes it easier for defensive teams to defend against us. Look at Arsenal (hate to compare us to them, but they are a good example), Bellerin and Gibbs bombing down, stretching teams, or United with Blind and Valencia supporting the attack at every opportunity, not just as decoy runners, but making an impact in the final 3rd.We have personnel in the team that can make us much better without compromising elsewhere i.e in defense in this case. I'm sure Mourinho already knows all this. What's amazing is he's failed to do anything about it. Is he picking both for their defensive qualities alone and underestimating the damage a fullback can do in attack? I think so. But the 1st problem is our attack needs refreshing, apart from Hazard, we're struggling, and this is the most obvious position in our team Mourinho can tweak to refresh our attack and power us to the title. The 2nd problem is neither player, for deferring reasons is solid enough to warrant that, and even if they were, modern football demands you integrate both your fullbacks as much as possible to your attacking play/organised attacks. My preferred back four will always be - Azpilicueta, Cahill , Terry and Luis. I've seen enough this season to be sure of that. Hardworking and complete. Not what we have now were the LB struggles to even make a forward pass, let alone a cross, because he's playing on the wrong side of the pitch. Or were the RB lacks composure on the ball a reliable delivery, and is generally an unreliable defender but is picked week in week out without fail, regardless of form or performance in the previous match. If he makes this changes, I'm almost certain our football will be better. Ainsley Harriott, Essien19, ulvhedin and 6 others
MrExcalibur100 7,124
Of course, Mourinho is completely hamstrung by the Oscar and Ramires dilemma. Very different from the situation I described above, were he actually has good options he's not playing enough. The problem with these two Brazilians is neither are good enough. They can play better than they've shown in recent months/years, obviously, but they've had their chances and blown them continuously. Neither are Chelsea standard and neither will get near Madrid or Barca's first team. Oscar is the lesser of two evils, at least he can pass a ball, so I'll go with him for majority of our matches till the season ends.

But everyone here know that this would be brought immediately if that was the case and we would not win. Just 10000000% sure, everyone, it's so obvious. So our whole week to prepare resulted in one shot on target, against the worse side in all aspects of defence in this league. That's ridiculous. Mourinho brain washed people's head with this advantage of more rest days for preparation (mine too ) We were outplayed two times against PSG, once against 10men, even though we two times had a whole week to prepare while PSG played their game on the weekend.
