Kinol 337
This sum's up your miss understand of the game, with more width in the team, wingers going wide, it drags defenders out wide as well, which makes more space for Torres, so yes that is how "we" decide how many defenders are marking Torres, the rest is utter jibberish. The team is so narrow that nothing short of messi could break through, which i already explained. The problem is that Torres play never convinced me. He has had a lot of counter attacking chances, crosses into the box etc but he has never done anything good of these chances. It seems like you think that being a striker in todays Chelsea is a impossible job and no one would be good and i can assure you that you are wrong. Sturridge will soon get his chance and maybe he wont be the super striker we are looking for but he will be better than Torres. Trust me
robsblubot 3,595
I'd like to ask chelsea's fitness coaches whether that's it or he is still improving physically. I mean, it's obvious that his acceleration from l'pool time is gone; that's why he struggles to much to beat defenders. He got a bit quicker by the end of CL last season, and I was expecting him to carry that into this season. So, the real question is whether he is going to get some of his pace back, how much of it and when. It's still early though and I hope he improves physically (IMO that's all there is to it) as the season unfolds.

November33rd 84
I've run out of likes today But TheCount is right - we don't play to the strengths of Torres. His strengths are what exactly? Don't worry, I'll wait.

Messi also has a much easier league to play in as a whole, dont take anything away from stoke, we played to their strengths today, any top 10 PL side is a dam fine team. Are u even watching the games and Torres or are you just imagining something in your head? Torres is crap and has been ever since he came here. Today he wasnt even interested in participating. He shows no passion, doesnt show that he wants the ball. When Iva had the ball in the box, Torres just stood still. The guy is shit and we need to sell him. you could put iniesta and silva behind him and he would still be as bad as he is. He wont ever become good enough for us in Chelsea, so theres no point in going around with a false hope.

Jype 6,398
Running out of excuses now. He has all the creativity in the world behind him with Mata, Hazard and Oscar but still he contributes to nothing. Lukaku would be much better at the moment., just saying... xPetrCechx

Liquidator 5,176
How can people moan about lack of service? He does not get any service because he just stands next to defenders for 90 minutes the lazy fucker. He will have a 5 minute patch where he will pressure defenders then do nothing for 40 minutes. I actually watched Torres extra closely at the game today and was amazed how little he moves. When Oscar, Hazard or Mata had the ball he would either not run at all or make a half arsed 5 yard jog. Sell him ASAP because it is worrying that we only have 1 striker and he can't be bothered. Popular Post! HRiver 1,512 Posted September 22, 2012 Popular Post! Share Posted September 22, 2012 Nobody should ever complain about lack of service anymore. That pass from Mata that he received in the first half was one of the best passes I've seen a player make for a striker, and Torres didn't even hit it. Embarrassing. He's always had the support from the fans, they cheer for him almost everytime he has the ball. He has the support from his teammates, both on the field and off it, and he has nobody but himself to blame anymore. He's past it, time to move on.Oh, and I absolutely hate the Torres fangirls. I doubt they were even Chelsea fans before he signed, and yet they even criticize those who criticize him, even after a performance like this. Unbelievable. termninja 5,290
Sadly it is good to see him struggle. It will show the club he has no place here and we will hopefully try bringing Falcao here. I would be happy also if the club decided to put all the faith in Lukaku and bring someone less known as backup.

Popular Post! DH1988 1,348 Posted September 22, 2012 Popular Post! Share Posted September 22, 2012 Knew I'd get home and read exactly what the idiots on Talk Sport were saying (Its a british radio station for those that dont know)Watching Torres today (at the game btw), what the hell do you mean cannot complain about service? I'm glad that most people if not 99% of the people around me in the matthew harding lower stand do NOT share the same deluded opinion that some of you keyboard warriors have. Mata put him through and he missed ONE chance, ONE chance, if he missed four of those then fair enough but thats not the case is it?What our problem today was that simply too many cooks in the kitchen i.e. too many people coming into the middle, not enough movement ahead of the ball, zero forward runs. When Torres receives the ball 95% of the time it is to his feet, WITH HIS BACK TO GOAL when he is a player over the years to want that pass he can run onto or it is on the wing because he is frustrated at receiving the ball to feet at the edge of the box with 2 players around him, I don't know many players that can do much in that situation, oh, except perhaps Messi.. Yeah that little guy. When he misses 3-4 chances a game like Suarez (just an example) THEN and only then will I be able to criticise him. You'd do well to stay off the media bandwagon.Idiots. It's what they are. Most fans have a favourite player, yeah. And so do I. My favourite player is Lampard, but I don't go nuts whenever I see him on the pitch, I don't post pictures of him everywhere, and I don't support him more than I support the club. And when he plays shit, I criticize him instead of critizing others who criticize him for his poor performances, so there's a difference between being a fangirl and having a favourite player. For the vast majority of these fangirls, Torres seems to be far more improtant than the club, which is what annoys me most. Most of them support Spain too just because of him. Cosmin, chelseathebest and Hannah
