Im going to go on a bit of an out of character rant here because tbh i am sickened by some of the stuff i have read about Roman these past 48 hours.

Now do i agree with his decision to sack Roberto Di Matteo? no, but some of the knee jerk reaction's dearie me, didn't we learn from the AVB sacking when we hastily stripped Lampard of his legend's tag, only to back track a couple of months later and realize he wasn't as guilty as we thought.

Roman is a Chelsea fan like we are, if i was the owner i would probably do things that would have some of you tearing your hair out, we would do what we think is best for the club as a whole and Roman is doing that.

We seem to want managerial stability, this is not the ancient times any more it just doesn't happen in football these days, Ferguson is a complete one off as soon as he is gone United will join the growing club or chopping and changing managers, it's the way football works these days (rightly or wrongly) and by in large it get's result's. Roman is not this evil owner who changes manager's for the sake of it, it's just the way modern football works just we for some reason seem to be scapegoated for it. Roman's method's get's result's, period.

Our stability is Roman, and believe me id rather change managers and have a dedicated owner than vice versa.

Below are the stats of most top European clubs (and Tottenham) and how many times they have changed manager since Roman's takeover at Chelsea.

Chelsea: 8

Bayern Munich: 7

Real Madrid: 10

Inter Milan: 9

Ajax: 7

FC Porto: 8

Tottenham: 6

Now if you ask the two English clubs who are in a better position now compared to 10 years ago most will say (after City) Chelsea and Spurs, surprise, surprise the two serial manager changing clubs off the last decade, but what both clubs have is stability upstairs, which is much more important.

So can someone explain why are we the 'joke' and the 'poison chalice for managers' when their is more than 1 other club around just as bad when it comes to chopping and changing ill never know.

Constant managerial changes are the norm in most football clubs on this planet these days, not just Chelsea, Ferguson is a one off, we need to get the idea of us finding our version out of our head right now.

We might if were lucky find a manger who will stick around for 3-5 years but another Fergie? as much chance as a lottery win so best never get too comfortable with a manager, because the days of managerial changes here and abroad are not going away, so best get use to it.

I have to say there is a bad atmosphere. Sacking RDM, and now the racism thing. Its just depressing, months after winning the PL, perhaps the worst week in recent years. Thats chaos. Its really sad when you open the sites and Chelsea is everywhere, but its not about football, its about how the owner is mad, about how the Chelsea almost destroyed a poor referees life. I dont like this, I hope we just win against City and then we stop talking about this kind of thing.

I really feel sorry for RDM, but imo he is the reason we have so many problems right now. RDM never had the same power the previous managers had, the board never saw him as the right man. He was given the job because no other top manager would aceept this job when the world knows the club is waiting for Guardiola. Even AVB had more power, lets remember that he told Alex and Anelka to leave during the season.

We were left with a small squad, full of weakness, this board is doing a really stupid job when they keep buying players like De Bruyne, Lukaku, Marin and Aziplicueta. A club like Chelsea needs a manager like Guardiola, Mourinho, Hiddink...or Benitez. RDM was not ready yet. Working in a club like Chelsea means the manager has to build a relationship with the people that have the power, you need to be a politician.

There is a lot more in RDM sacking than just a couple of bad results.

The sacking of RDM makes no sense. We're third in the league ffs, not seventh. We would easily make Champions League next season, no need to treat him like shit and bring in a scouse cunt that fans stated they didn't want last season, and this before he was appointed.

If he is a fan like us then he should see how much we didn't want Rafa before appointing him. Brought the bashing among himself.

Managerial stability certainly still happens. Barcelona had 2 managers for about a decade. Bayern has had 4 different full-time managers in the last 15 years. Klopp has been at Dortmund for years. Arsenal, ManU, Everton, and many other English teams have had a lot of stability. It's not just about sticking with a guy forever, it's about having reasonable expectations, giving the coach some breathing room, and not going crazy after every game where we drop points. We're actually having a batter season than anyone should have hoped for. We were 6th last season and we're third now and alive in all competitions. How does that deserve a sacking? Especially when you're just hiring another temporary manager in his place. It just doesn't make sense. It's clear that Roman never wanted to hire RDM, in which case he shouldn't have. To treat anyone like that, never mind a Chelsea legend, is an absolute joke.

"managerial longevity does not exist anymore" so we should sack managers if they lose 2 consecutive matches? on what grounds did he make this decision, that we were 3rd in the league, playing the best football we have had in a long time or that rdm made us win the ucl... u can defend roman all you want but his decision stinks and can never be made right.
