Fair to say Joao Pedro, Garnacho, Neto & Gittens aren’t going to get enough goals and assists between them to make a huge difference. Who’d of thought 👀😂? Some proper clinical finishers today and we would of won 3 or 4-0. At least. Maresca needs to stop playing Reece in MF & benching Estevao…. Reece does the dirty stuff well but reluctance to pass forwards & too many touches slows the play down. Give Caicedo a new deal immediately also.5 points -

The biggest and major problem I have with this fella is the fucking team sheet roulette we see every game, it's like guess the line up every single game. I know and understand that rotation needs to happen, but not to the point of dropping to the bench our second biggest flair player in Estavao and using phrases like 'he's a young boy and needs to be protected' absolute bollocks, he's proven already he can do it, but it's bench every other game, 20 minute cameos and yet he comes on and offers more than the likes of Neto and Garnacho each week, take the fucking shackles off him you gutless bastard. And by the his subs are laughable, not to mention the starting 11's he picks4 points -

How anyone expects us to be seriously competitive in the long run with that lanky streak of pish Tosin as one of our starting CBs every week, I don’t know. And last season he was a good signing for some because he was free… muppets. How are players like Colwill, Hato &, Josh even Fofana meant to learn & kick on if he is the starting CB their looking up to 🤣? On a wider note, Maresca has to go we are fucking terrible. We might not even make the next round of the CL at this rate.3 points -

Maresca always talks a big game about not taking any opponent lightly and did so again before this one. Then he goes and picks this XI with Hato at CB and Tyrique up top who VERY CLEARLY is not a striker when we’ve got Guiu and Delap available. He really thought we could just show up here with anybody and stroll to victory.3 points -

EXCLUSIVE - When Cole Palmer is expected back - return plans revealed https://siphillipstalkschelsea.substack.com/p/exclusive-when-cole-palmer-is-expected As reported at the time, Cole Palmer’s injury was more serious than what Enzo Maresca was saying and what was being reported. His injury was made worse by him being played again too soon and he went on and hindered the groin injury. At this moment in time, there is still no talk of any surgery, and Palmer is on his way back. Good News As per SPTC Sources, Chelsea have a return plan set out for Cole Palmer to get back into the squad. We can reveal that Palmer will be back on the grass doing individual training very soon and the plan at the moment is to give him 30 minutes against Burnley on November the 22nd, in a view for him getting his first start for the Barcelona game on November the 25th. Obviously I have to say that this is the plan, and sometimes plans don’t always come off. But right now, he is on schedule to make this and this is what they are planning to do with him. As long as there are no setbacks between now and then, or unless if his recovery goes even faster, this is when we can all expect to see Palmer back out on the pitch with Chelsea. Let’s hope things continue to go well so we can soon add Palmer back into the mix again. Let’s also hope that this groin injury does not reoccur again. It’s good to see that this time at least, they are letting it fully heal.3 points -

New GK ship has sailed. Penders will probably start from next season. I think he's ready. Gonna be 21 next summer. Courtois was 22 when he arrived after 3 years in Atletico. And back then standard was higher plus we had Cech. United have less talented Belgian keeper who is starting for them and they seem happy.3 points

Whats crazy is that Arsenal already had Gabriel - Saliba and then they go out and add two more starting quality defenders in Mosquera (bargain price) and Hincapie. Where as we are supposed to rely on free transfer Tosin, Chalobah and young Josh as our CB's for the whole season with Fofana and Badi playing 5 games and becoming best mates with the medical staff.3 points -

Tbf we wouldn’t be so open in midfield if Enzo Fernandez would actually run back and tackle also. World Cup Winning midfielder yet an absolute passenger when teams take the ball of us. But yes experience would help everyone for sure. But when Kante and Jorginho were here folk were desperate to get rid of them, apparently Kante wasn’t ever going to be fit enough to play to justify a wage & Jorginho wasn’t good enough (yet went to a title competitor and ended up playing as a #6 instead of £100m Declan Rice, who was initially signed and used by Arteta as a 6). If we go into January/next summer and don’t prioritise some experience in key positions, will be same again and again. And the usuals will keep buying what these charlatans are selling because they’ll buy 3 or 4 up and coming attackers instead of hitting the nail on the head and solving problems that have been ongoing for 3 plus seasons now. I mean if people are thinking these owners and sporting directors have real ambition to win the biggest titles, after the past 4 windows, they are delusional. It has been noted that we have needed a top GK, a top CB, a top CF/attacker for fuck knows how long. Even the manager said about a CB in the summer… the manager. Yet what did they do, £100m on 2 wide players…. Donnarumma & Guehi would of cost less than that.3 points -

I found this on Delap Liam Delap is expected to return after the November international break, with a target of December for his full return to the Chelsea squad. Initially, he was expected to be out for 10-12 weeks after suffering a hamstring injury in late August, but his recovery is reportedly going well.3 points -

Chelsea make Kenan Yildiz and Morgan Rogers priority targets for 2026 https://football-talk.co.uk/223114/Chelsea-make-kenan-yildiz-and-morgan-rogers-priority-targets-for-2026/ Chelsea spent a significant amount of money in the recently concluded summer transfer window in rebuilding their offence, and with enough quality and depth across positions in the final third, they are expected to strengthen their midfield soon too. Mark Brus has reported that the Blues have already identified their priority targets for 2026 in Juventus star Kenan Yildiz and Aston Villa mainstay Morgan Rogers, while Olympique Lyon’s Malick Fofana does not sit high on their wish-list for now. Neither Rogers, nor Yildiz will come for cheap and Chelsea will need to spend significant sums on landing both players, given that the Englishman is valued at £80 million by Villa, whereas Juve value their number 10 at £87 million. Chelsea unlikely to sign both players Kenan Yildiz and Morgan Rogers play largely similar roles on the pitch, and it is arguable that the latter offers more versatility due to his ability to play on both flanks in offence, as well as in a slightly deeper lying roles. Owing to fairly identical profiles, it would come as a surprise if Chelsea end up signing both their targets for next summer, more so considering that a significant portion of their transfer budget would be channeled towards landing the attacking midfielders. Rogers would arguably be the better signing due to his experience in the Premier League, but Yildiz, who is three years younger, and has a better potential than the Aston Villa star arguably aligns better with the Londoners’ sporting project. In addition to acquiring a new number 10, Enzo Maresca is likely to push for defensive additions as well next year after he was forced to start this season with several absentees, whereas a number of defenders have also not lived up to expectations of late.2 points
