Was just going to post this. Happens far too often with this team. Any half decent CM knows you have two options really here. Killer pass to Joao who’s in on goal or the slightly more difficult pass around the left back but into the path of Kai. The idea that we must keep the ball for possession sake is literally killing us because we can’t keep the ball out of our net. Like I don’t know about the rest of you but if Mount picks either one of those and it doesn’t come off I’m not as mad as when he completely ignores them and passes it sideways or backwards. Kai was guilty of this as well. Ugh so painful to watch.

We are definitely being punished for sins committed

Probably for all the misery caused to Tottenham.

But if there's one silver lining., Chelsea have historically bounced back in style from doom and gloom., and that's even before the Roman era.

I haven't watched this game, and don't want to see the highlights, but Potter please start DDF in the next game FFS.

Watching this live, I think most of us would have seen that run by Felix instead of passing it to Azpi.... Passing to Azpi on the counter should be the VERY last option, Mason...

Mount has some strong qualities but he's still a one touch and go type of player. I was hoping he would evolve into a better playmaker who can scan the field instead of having tunnel vision. Most of the time if the first option isn't there he rushes into a shot or plays the wrong pass. You almost want to just stick him on the wing but then his movements and speed aren't fluid enough.

What he does well makes him a viable player but his skillset is still far from the type of playmaker we need...Also please stop taking corners, they're almost as bad as your penalties.

SO many overrated players on this roster. Midfield is a joke that makes everything look even worse.

Our midfiled is joke, it's obvious, happen game after game.

But just imagine to combine that midfield with our forward options like mount, havertz, pulisic, ziyech, auba and sterling too with his inconsistency.

Can't stand to watch this team, sometimes, many times actually, even from last season

No other option, new player need much time to be integrated, plus (beside felix) they are very young and some of them is still very raw, our squad is just shambles.

It was soo scary to see the levels between Felix and the rest of our attackers.

The absolute state of our recruitment since Hazard has been beyond shocking.

yup it just goes to show what a proper recruitment looks like, the recruitment at this club has been atrocious to say the least.

Cesc would have for sure, we never replaced Fabregas.

We had an option with Gilmour. But we screwed him over by sending him out on loan to a lesser team.

Players like Gilmour and McEachran should never have gone out on loan. Because of the way they play, they would thrive around high quality players that will make the most of their passing and vision.

Instead we destroy them by assigning them to the loan army.

Look back at our 2016/17 squad that won with Conte.

The players that we failed to replace with top tier quality:

Courtois, Terry, Cahill, Hazard, Willian, Matic, Fabregas, Diego Costa....you could even add Alonso to that list as Cucurella isn't even half the player Alonso was (in the attacking third on the pitch).

The only players who would get a shot in that team from our current squad are: James, Silva and probably Felix.

Gilmour wanted the loan though as from memory he said he spoke with the manager and he said minutes would be limited to cup appearances and that's why he decided to go out on loan.   The problem wasn't the loan, the problem was loaning him to Norwich of all clubs that were keen on him.  Why not loan him to a side that isn't fighting relegation?
