Forget about Kounde.
If we now don’t at least try our best to get another cm in, the board really don’t know shit about our current situation. With Kante injured we could even go back to Saul and promise him Game time .

Kounde is clear our player

but I don't think it would be a bad idea  one more  midfielder  who can score goals cuz  only with Kante/Jorginho and only Kovacic like reserve will not happen all season.

bring on the dwarf!

lolol

Assuming we can keep a max of 1 dwarf in our back 3 CBs:

Instead of dropping €70m on Kounde, next year I would rather shift Reece inside as he has shown he can excel at the RCB spot, and then activate our buy-back clause on Livramento who has looked like a star for Southampton so far, albeit early stages.

Prioritize a center mid FFS

Kounde incoming ! 👌

Kounde's situation remains the same. Sevila FC does not sell Kounde for less than 70M €. Seville has rejected Chelsea's proposals to date. Today with the sale of Zouma it is said that Chelsea will make a new one but if there is no agreement today at 12 o'clock at night, Sevilla FC will send Chelsea to the payment of the termination clause as you did with Kepa. The clause is 90M €.

I'd be interested to get your take on Kounde as a Sevilla fan and obviously somebody who has watched him far more regularly than most of the people on this forum.

Is he worth the hype and the big transfer fee? For you, what are his biggest strengths and weakenesses?

I know that a number of people on here are worried about his height, especially with some of the players he'll come up against in England although I don't think this is as critical in a back 3 as it is in a back 4.

Kounde for me is the most future center-back in world football. He is only 22 years old and has been playing in the elite since he was 17. He started as a right-back but went on to play as a center-back in the second year at Girondins. Sevilla FC bet on him with 20 years paying € 25M (most expensive transfer in our history).

Jules Koundé is 1'78 tall but reaches unexpected places. Seeing him jump is a real spectacle. The taller the striker, the bigger he becomes in the passing game. The secret is in his lower body and an explosive physique. His height is not a problem for his game. But he is also very good with his feet. For Tuchel's scheme of 3 centrals it is ideal due to that versatility to play as a winger. Koundé is a player who trusts in his speed, able to wait for the striker, and react immediately.

The team that signed Kounde signs a center-back for 10 years. For me if he is worth € 70M. For its age and quality it is worth it. For us it would be a great loss.

Alessandro Bastoni for me, as he is taller (1.90m versus 1.78m), same age (4 months and a day younger actually), left footed, this is his 4th full season at top-flight football, higher upside IMHO.
