So it makes sense that many of them and him in particular were rusty. We got the 3 points and that's more than lots of these teams could say. That goal was terrible other than that I feel like his heading in right direction. His distribution was on point and made decent saves when called upon in the 1st half. He even came out for set pieces which was decent to see, hoping this is a fresh start for him and he gets back his confidence. Either way we have good competition coming in. Important to start the season with a win, especially given the circumstances but that was a fortunate win. Once again, dodgy game management from Lampard once again. No changes at HT, allowed the game to almost drift away before individual brilliance and a deflection knocked the stuffing out of Brighton. 2. Including the pre-season game, I swear we've been outplayed each time by Brighton at the AMEX Stadium. 3. Can we have less basketball games this season? Again, we barely controlled the game. Almost wish we're playing the dull Sarriball again! 4. I know it was his first game for us and I know he can play in different positions, I hope Lampard will eventually play Havertz in the No.10 role soon - which is arguably his best position - rather than "abuse" his versatility and move him around and not let him develop into a proper role. 5. They acted like it was a friendly game. We were better defensively than offensively tho. We get the three points but it'll be suicidal to continue in this way... We know he really fancies AC (and tbf he was excellent today) and Zouma has been great for a while now. Rüdiger gets a lot of hate but I want to see him get a shot as well.
