let me tell u guys nothin much has changed. he is putting as good performances as he did last season (barca matches, the finale), but now his performances are just getting magnified because he and rambo are playing brilliantly together and also because of our style of play. even today we dominated most of the matches like we would dominate any other pl team so all the other team has got is to counter and mikel serves us well in breaking those counters. whereas last season against the same spurs we got our asses kicked and were lucky to get 2 draws. we were under attack most of the time and bound to let goals slip in. so please suddenly dont make mikel a superstar as he always has been the same.

Bang on. It's gone from "Mikel can't play in a possession based side" to "Mikel is actually good".

Not much has changed regarding Mikel, just people are finally realising why he's so important to the team. They're seeing this because ironically, we're more possession based now, and that actually brings the best out of Mikel because he is so good under pressure.

Proving himself to be one of the best DM's in the PL. He fits like a glove in this new style of ours. It may just be me but I think he has quickened up his passing and decision making a bit. He seems to have embraced the challenge of trying to play more slick, passing football and stepped up his game.
