Cholo 428
thanks for ruining Drogba's reputation, JoseLol. Drogba should thank Mourinho for playing him despite his inability and loss of what he used to be.

Term-X 7,892
He took a risk starting him, and it backfired. Now we won't be able to play youth players later on, as 1st place may not be guaranteed; no games for Zouma etc.Drogba's last ever kick for us was the CL winner, THAT'S what our last memory of him should have been. zolayes, Fernando, Henrique and 1 other

City are there for the taking. They haven't been impressive. Let's not forget, we battered them with a weaker squad last season. It was the most comprehensive 1-0 I've seen. I'll be very surprised (and disappointed) if we do set up like Atletico away. The Skipper and Barbara

Fabregas scored 1, which Hazard assisted. Jose decided to start Drogba and only decided to sub him very late in the game. You can't be serious about Remy lol. LAst year after Sunderland loss we did it at Arsenal, think it will be the same now. It is OK for him to concede some goals but as long as we score a lot at other end, now it seems that isn't the case it is back to old fashion football. With our squad I really hope we don't do it though because City as you said are there for the taking. However a point at City isn't that bad really.
Term-X 7,892
Tbf football can be pretty emotive and players can 'step it up' for big occasions. However, the sentimentality surrounding Drogba isn't going to help us and why it's detrimental he's back.

Inches away from making it 2-0 aswell. Costa and Remy will be first and second choice, But especially with losing a big presence like Lampard the decision to bring him back is no way detrimental because it gives another big presence around the dressing room and he'll be a useful option when he gets match fit and his sharpness back.Wait until the end of the season before throwing out these judgements. Are the players really going to respond to a liability in the dressing room?, regardless of what he's done in the past?, can he speak portuguese/spanish to Costa and rile him up?Jose has a soft spot for sentiment.. that and the fact he took a risk, logic dictated Remy would start against the toughest CL group opponent. lionsden 4,689
It was a bad decision to bring him back right from the start. Football decisions at the highest level where so much is at stake should never be based on sentiments. It was a no brainer to start Remy instead of drogba in this game. in fact Drogba shouldn't be starting any games at all and his apps should only be limited to coming off the bench. furthermore he shouldn't have waited on till the 74th minute to remove him Term-X and Ainsley Harriott

Heisenberg 1,824
At the end people will never learn about management. You cant criticize José Mourinho for playing Drogba, because you werent in his position before the game, after the game and the result it is easy to talk and criticize and to show the right players to play, but it is easy at the end, the top managers, chose them before, José made a mistake because he made a choice ? No, football wise he made a mistake it didnt pay off, but he didnt make any mistake in chooosing this over this before a match.Thats management. Not in the middle of September.Everyone seen the huge lift it gave to the players when it was announced that he was returning, Which is paving the way for a future coaching role. A couple of inches different and everyone would be here saying what a great signing it was to bring him back.Remy will be far more involved as the season goes on but it is important to keep Drogba in reserve incase of injuries to Costa or Remy. When he gets his sharpness back he'll be better. Heisenberg
