Hypothetically, if Chelsea doesnt win, do you think Jose should be sacked?

Meaning only EPL title and Champs league (not CC, fa cup, etc).

If the board continues to sack the manager every time we don't win a trophy, we're gonna run out of quality managers to employ in the future.

Judging by how positive the board has been acting in the last 1-2 years, you would think they have moved on from the days of pressing the panic button and swing the axe at the manager at the first sign of trouble. Don't think Mourinho will be sacked if we don't win any trophy as long as there is further improvement and progression in the squad.

Really happy with the comments Jose has been making recently. We'll definitely see a return of the more expansive style of play we deployed in the earlier part of last season - this time however we'll be much better at it considering we finally have a fully balanced team. The additions of a top LB, top CF and a top CM were all vital and I'm glad Jose thought exactly the same thing. Definitely going to be a good year, Jose's confident because he has all the tools now.

It's funny because some were very certain Mourinho's team doesn't operate with a playmaker from a deeper position, nor an "attacking, creative left back" (as Jose describes him). We will definitely have the same underlying philosophy in our play (i.e. fast paced counter attacking football) but we will do so more expansively, and with the additions we've made it allows Jose to have even more weapons to tinker and change accordingly. 3 "clinical" signings as Jose likes to put it... It's going to be a very interesting year indeed.

Mourinho isn't stupid and he knew what kind of problems we had last season. But its rare to see him speak about it publicly, because press can (and will) twist his words, what can unsettle some players.

This is why Jose is simply the best manager around, he saw issues in the squad and immediately went out and fixed them.

Remember between Jose's tenures we knew we needed a creative player for years but done nothing about it? By the time it got to 2011 the situation got so desperate some of us would have even took N Zogbia or any one with even the slightest bit of width or creativity.

My guess is , when Cech decides to stay for now until at least January, he won't register Mark as the 3rd keeper, Blackman will do. Also probably Romeu will be send out on loan, maybe only for an half year. So that's -2 non HG, at January if Cech+Mikel (after he received his British passport) decides to leave, Mou can edit the squad list by adding Mark as the back up and call back Romeu from his loan spell. I guess that's why Mou extended the contracts of Mark and Romeu, to have a solid 2nd keeper and back up for Matic in case Mikel+Cech want to leave.

or he can already leave Mikel out of one of two squads (UCL or EPL) now. He did that with Essien last season, that wasn't registered in UCL, only Marco.

Mourinho has set everything up for this season so he must deliver some kind of silverware. We have a very good squad this season which Mourinho had moulded himself so he can't complain about expectations. Hopefully we can win the title and get a good run in Europe.
