Don't see what was wrong with people questioning Mourinho's selection before the game. It's not like everyone, or some at least, were doing that just because they didn't like Mourinho or hated the fact that their favorite players were sitting on the bench and not playing. The reasons thrown out were rather justified given the recent happenings with players' form, team's performances and Mourinho's decision making.

The team selection yesterday did indeed proved to be worthwhile after all but more importantly and thankfully, the players actually turned up and put in a convincing performance for a change - was arguably the best away performance of the season - though that was also partly down to the rubbish-ness of West Ham. A win is a win nonetheless I supposed and hope we can continue with this!

Exactly. I was furious with the selection too but gladly he didn't really plan on just keeping ramires on the right and it looked like a 4-3-3 with lampard bombing forward like he used to do beside ballack.

Oscar and hazard finally played very well in the same match together was another unnoticed positive.

Yesterday I was thinking the same. 2-0 up and with Rafa you'd be worrying about us conceding two, but with Jose you're looking at a third.

Absolutely! You can see the body language in the players has changed enormously! I have no doubt the future is bright as long as Jose is around. So proud of Roman for swallowing his pride and bringing him home.

Does anybody else just feel safer with Jose around? It just seems no matter how bad things get, we can look toward the bench and still smile. I absolutely hated seeing Rafa wearing our crest.

Just seeing Jose walking out, giving high fives to the kids, signing autographs and just being the champion that he is always puts the biggest smile on my face.

Fegurson said it in his autobiography:

"When you see the two managers in the dugout, you just know who'll win"

Always funny to go on Twitter and see the people giving him shit when the team is announced, only to begrudgingly have to admit it was a good performance and he got it spot on. :wank2:

Don't understand why. This is West Ham, a Sam team and they play ugly like stoke.

Against such teams we must also go physical like we did for this game. It was pretty ugly for us as well till we scored the penalty. Even at 2 to 0, if West Ham had scored that goal that went by the post it would have changed the whole feel to the game.

Now if we put the same line up say against South Hampton then we will look bad.

Mourinho should play the right line up according to the opponent. And that's what he did here. It payed of good results.
