Tipping my hat to Jose for making those comments. Interestingly enough the last manager to have received an apology from Mike Riley was Roberto Martinez at Wigan. Guess who the opposition was? http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/17666840

The funny thing is that we've suffered from being on the receiving end of some really dodgy and incompetent refereeing , one of our defenders was freaking bitten by an opposition player who still remained on the pitch to score an equalizer without so much of an apology given. But heavens forbid if a soft penalty is awarded in our favour!

The one that springs to mind immediately is that Clattenburg fiasco at the Bridge against United last season...Torres wrongly sent off and then, that CLEAR offside winning goal!

And hell, where was the apology for that Chris Foy debacle against QPR?!

Or when Drogba was booked for basically being assaulted by Johnny Evans? The hell was our apology for that! The frustrating part is how some Arsenal fans were enraged that we got helped by the ref, are you kidding me? Have they forgotten about the Cazorla dive that earned them two dodgy penalties when they played West Brom last season? How convenient that West Brom weren't called with an apology then, clearly these things only matter when it's a match against Chelsea.

It has and always will be one rule for us and another for everyone else. Over the years we have been on the **** end of some terrible decisions with us NOT getting so many deserved penalties, our players get injured as the refs constantly allow bad tackles over and over on our players. We have had so many players sent off for non existent offences and it does get tiring.

So we got a soft penalty, that is just ******** Tough. making-bronx-cheer-smiley-emoticon.gif

Can understand why West Brom were pissed off..never a penalty but if you start apologizing for mistakes then you need to do it every time and from every referee, whatever the team not just one.not just for penalties..red cards that never were...goals that werent that were and the other way round.Where would you draw the line?

Very true and I agree.

But still does not deflect that we where dog shit and got lucky.

People just like to create controversy instead of focusing what is really going on.

I wish I was a reporter so can I ask smarter question then what these guys ask.

Think he was smart in starting Mikel, Ramires and Lampard in the mid.

West Ham are a very physical side, so we needed also strong bodies in our team.

I thought Ba would have also been a better starter for this game then Eto.

But overall when playing against West Ham you expect a very ugly tough tackles game.
