The Mourinho Thread

Going to Real Madrid. They said it tonight at Cadena Ser. Already negociating with Florentino Perez. Rafa Benitez will get the sack in the coming days, he's lost the dressing room, Isco won't speak to him, James is unhappy, Ronaldo walked into the dressing room after Madrid's game against Rayo and threatened to leave the team if Benitez is kept in charge. Mourinho urged Florentino Perez to speed up the negociations as Man United have offered him a contract and he has until January to give a response.

That would be far better than him going to manutd.

It's unfortunate he lost the dressing room here but what's happened has happened. He had to go for the losses to stop, hopefully he's heading far away from England.

Thanks for that fella, apologies didn't know the name but knew the face.

How longs has Tuchel been managing? Seems to know his stuff tactically, is he introducing players from their youth set up though?

No problem.

I don't actually know too much about his past coaching career, so I had to look it up.

Just about all of his time was spent at Mainz (5 years). He got them to 7th in the league for a Europa League spot, but hsi record was pretty patchy (good for Mainz though, I suppose). Schalke and Leverkusen both tried to get him. He asked to be released from his contract, spent a year away from coaching before going to Dortmund.

I find him interesting because he was hired by Dortmund without having managed a "big name" club. They took a chance on him, and it's worked out so far. For all of Bayern's dominance, Dortmund are 8 points behind them, and 6 points ahead of 3rd place.

I do think it's probably a bit pre-mature for him to be considered for the Chelsea job, I'm just wishing for something exciting and new.

I agree, it's for the best, has a chance to redeem himself and fight his demons from the past.

They also said in that programme that the relationship between Sergio Ramos and Florentino Perez is completely broken and Ramos has no intention to fix it. So I'm assuming that Florentino Perez told Mourinho to deal with with the usual suspects (Ramos, Ronaldo, Pepe) until summer when he'll try to get rid of them and let him rebuild the squad. Otherwise I don't see how he'll deal with that nasty dressing room with those three in it after they (plus Iker) were the main culprits last time when Mourinho was in charge.

Makes no sense, how is he going to get the likes of Ronaldo, Ramos and Pepe back onside when he fractured his relationships with them in his last spell there? Is he stupid? If Ronaldo has threatened to leave which might make Perez react and sack Benitez what will happen when Jose goes back...

I don't know why he didn't go to Roma, he obviously sees himself as too big or too good for them but Real Madrid is going to be a nightmare for him if he still has strained relationships with Ronaldo and co.

The thing is your acting like this club is still run in the same manner as it was in the beginning of the Roman Abramovich era. It's not.

We're no longer the financial power house that could just blow other teams out of the water and buy whatever player we wanted.

We've gone down a different road with this club. We're trying to balance the books. Become a self-sufficient club. That means there are limitations to how much money we can spend over a short period of time.

If Morinho couldn't handle that then he had no future at this club anyway.

The whole notion though of "Mourinho didn't get every single player he wanted in the transferwindow so they didn't back him" is just ridiculous.

We were backing him. We were slowly but surely building the squad he wanted. Players who had no/very little role to play in his system were sold while we bought players who could.

Also i find it hilarious that you're actually blaming the board for Ivanovic starting at RB.

The blame falls firmly on Mourinho's shoulders for that. He was the one that stuck our best RB (Azpi) on the LB position and in the process alienated a very good attacking LB (Luis).

From this standard ...

I don't believe that Pep, Simeone or even Pellegrini will interest to be a manager for our club.

The club that doesn't invest or give a decent players for the demand of manager but aim form Champion League and League Winner every season.

Even Sir Alex also need a players to fit his team and Man utd always support him.

I don't see this as a problem. IMO the manager should be much more like a coach, like the teams in Germany handle it. The board needs to consist of visionary football men who implement their vision and buy players, deploy talents accordingly whilst the manager/coach's job should be to get the best out of the squad he has. There is no sense in pursuing managers' vision since those only stay for a couple of years anyway.

Cech is one of us - we let him go to a rival but do you want to call him a wanker?

Lamps is one of us - we let him go to a rival but do you want to call him a wanker?

Mourinho is one of us - we let him go. There are precious few jobs around for a man of his calibre so do you want to call him a wanker for choosing one where he'll get the backing of the board?

Come on mate. Passions are running high but you don't mean it when you call him a wanker do you?

Am I missing something "one of us" means he is one of the supporters right?

Cech, Lampard, and Mourinho are club legends and they will never be forgotten for their contribution. But they are not "one of us" they are not supporters of the club. A supporter of the club would never support a rival club. You, me, or anyone else on this forum would never support a rival club. How can someone claim he is one of the supporters if he is managing a rival club.

As I said nothing against Mourinho, Cech, or Lampard. In fact Lamps is my all time fav player.

Some have been loyal, some here hated him when we were winning. Don't forget FSW is doing so poorly at Real, Perez apparently wants Mou back.
