Nah he is completely unnecessary. Every new superstar we bring in decreases the chance that a young player will get a chance. Piazon will most likely move on because he will never get a game, as may de Bruyne because some people seem to think this is FIFA manager mode or Football Manager and we should just go and casually spend £40m on players without thinking.

We just need a new right back who could cover for Ivan and a decent backup goalkeeper and we are set IMO

In my opinion (which is often not wanted ), we'd be much better off not spending £30mil+ on Hulk, and instead, invest in an Xabi Alonso type player.

He holds his position in a defensive midfield role, can intercept well, and dictate play and hoof up precise, long-balls, splitting defences with ease.

De Bruyne, Kakuta, Ramires, Sturridge, Hazard, any of them can play on the right or left wing - no need for another un-natural winger playing on the wing IMO.

Hazard and Mata is good enough - we can play 4-3-3 with both of them playing behind Torres, or 4-2-3-1 with Ramires or Marin joining them.

Can use the money for him to increase depth in Midfield, and at RB. We can even get another striker, and not spend up to 40m
