It happens all the time now the tugging of shirts in the box, I just simply do not want to see us doing as we have enough tools to deal with it in our team by defending properly.

See this is the thing with Luiz, it's his consistency level, he hasn't got one. He is either unreal or a complete passenger, and that is one thing Jose must, must work on, and probably will.

Do I worry about Luiz? Yes without doubt, I never know which David Luiz ill turn up.

Here's the funny thing - if that was at Chelsea then you'd expect someone like JT or Lamps to take him to one side and have a quiet word, yet there's talk of him being captain. It's one thing to have passion and fire (and he has that in spades, which is why we love him) but you've got to be smart. Players like Riccy had that nastiness in them, but they were sly little fuckers at the same time.

Luiz rarely under performed with us last season, and you can't say that it's the norm for Luiz to perform badly when he was our best defender plenty of times last season. You shouldn't let one bad performance for Brazil (even though he had a great performance just the game before) cloud your judgement like that.

Some analysts have been saying that the fact both Luiz and Thiago had bad games was no accident, or merely a bad day. It was a result of what Uruguay proposed, with 3 strong forwarders and a lot of width. Playing behind Marcello and Daniel (especially the former) is an obvious way to cause problems to Brazil.

However, I still think that the more technically inapt players you've got on your side, less your opponent has to worry about you when you have the football. A team with a very simple and defensive back 4, for example, would then lack the numbers when attacking. To adjust and accommodate the David Luizes, by providing cover, well that's why the manager makes the big bucks.
