Got to be honest, he is good forward up.

But not good to bring balance.

And that's the thing, with Aguero, Sterling and KDB you get non of that.

Kinda like what we had with Mata, Hazard and Oscar. Left ourselves open too many times.

Let's see if they realize the problem and see what they do to configure this problem.

He's still a very good player, excellent on counterattacks, he's no silva in terms of controlling the match tempo but his ability is still good.

His defensive workrate is poor though.

This..he cannot control the tempo like silva ..but he will be good at counter attacking

he has always been a very offensive, direct player who needs 1) players covering for him and 2) space. he completed an awesome finish on the counter but that was it for his game. city did not really need him in the first place. sterling, yaya, kdb, silva, agüero all not exactly players who run their lungs out to defend.... great player, will have a world class career but at city he is a square peg in a round hole, a very bright square peg tho

as said before, Wolfsburg now win more without him. City as a unit look less solid with him.

Well they have not really played any testing teams bar Schalke and Bayern who battered them. Wait until they play more tougher fixtures to make that conclusion I say. Tbf to KDB when he has started City have missed other key players. Silva, Kompany and most importantly Aguero just don't look up to scratch yet.

He is playing for the best team in England and playing under a more offensive oriented manager, Don't think he cares.

oh yeah, the best team in England just right ;)

I think he's happy losing three matches in the last four. At least he's with a offensive oriented manager, so I'm sure it makes him sleep better at night because who wouldn't be happy to have Pellegrino as their manager, right?

He's good player, but today his performance was very poor. Completed only 26 passes with accuracy 60.9% - awful.

but when someone mentioned he wasn't that good today they were said they needed to accept he was good. Well, as long as an ex-Chelsea player - especially one Mourinho dismissed and didn't give the chances people believe he should have scores or assists, people come to make it a party. I haven't even gone to Mata's thread and I know what I will find there.

Teams and players part ways every window, sometimes it works for the best, sometimes for the worst. This is life and it moves on. Both KdB and Mata sagas and obsessions around here are tiresome. Few people here appreciate Kev for what he really is, most are more interested in proving and repeating this will come to bite us in the ass 24x7.

Okay, it could have been bad business - even if I think his attitude is what caused it - but it's over, move on. We won't be less of team because of only Kev. We just won the damn league. I'm sure we can survive without him just fine.

It is one game, Barca lost to Celta Vega. it happens to the best, it sure can happen to City. Just for the record just because I think City is the best in the league, does not mean I rate them. The whole league is mediocre, someone has to be the best. Who you think is the best in the league?

But loses happen to anyone you just can't overact. Mou exactly overacted last season when we lost to the same team Spurs, completely changed his tactic and got scared because of one loss.

Pellegrino at least recognizes his talent unlike Mou, so yeah I am sure he is happy. Mou also preferred Khedira over Modric in his last season at Madrid so he is not in bad company.

dude, out of curiosity, are you a Chelsea fan? Not problem if you are not, I think this forum misses opposition fans.

I always see you praise other teams, players and managers and say all kind of shit about us.

And just like I answered to another guy, no one is saying shit because of one match, fact remains they won only 1 match - in COC nonetheless - in their last four...

Mourinho had always recognized Kevin's talent, they just clashed with their both big egos and self-entitled personalities.

They were missing their best CB pairing, their best CM got injured, their best AM was injured and they have quite a few other injuries. I think we would struggle if we were in that scenario tbh. Imagine Hazard being injured, who knows what would happen. I still think with their players fit, they are currently the best team in England tbh.

and I think being the best team in England as it stands isn't saying much.

Fact remains people joined the City bandwagon way too early in the season, with 4 matches.

And they destroyed us. When they won those first 4 games, they had their best team available and were playing excellent football and had not conceded a goal. Not making excuses but if Silva and Kompany were fit I don't think they would have lost to WHU and certainly don't think the scoreline would have been what it was today.

guess what, injuries are common in football. With Messi Barça lost to Celta with the same scoreline.

Also the point many are making here and KdB fans (and Jose dislikers) are missing is that Kev can't step out and fill Silva's shoes. As you post just proves.

And are you talking about Vicent freaking Kompany as if he was the player he was 3 seasons ago? Dude, wake up, he had a nightmare-ish season last year with too many mistakes, more than should be acceptable for a player considered to be what he is. most people already consider him to be in the descending years of his career and you're talking about him as if he was this solid rock. He was in the bench today, in case you didn't notice, not injured.

Not mad bruh, just the vast amount of plain dumb repetitive one sentence comments the last few months is lowering the quality of this board, which is a pity as this is by far the best Chelsea board around.

We are going to regret letting KDB go!

If John Terry missed a game for us last season and we lost we would have said it was a huge loss. But he was considered to be finished by some a few seasons ago but proved people wrong and had his best season ever last season. Kompany is a top CB and has been phenomonal in every game he has played this season for City. It is a huge miss of course and that is clear to see. And he was on the bench but was confirmed that he would not be on the bench after feeling ill as well as the injury he was struggling with.

man, you're free to believe whatever you want about whoever. If you think Kompany is the answer to their problems, okay. I think it's quite laughable, but we can agree to disagree.
