Blue Gino 377
Neymar, Hulk, Falcao and now Cavani. Napoli are the latest club using Chelsea to create a bidding war. In the end it will end in Cavani staying put or doing a "Falcao" chasing the money and not trophies. That 54 million can be invested in central midfield and defense, the real weak link. Magic Lamps 11,692
It looks like Rooney's clear-the-air-talks with Moyes have not really gone the way Ferguson predicted it. Would prefer the ugly chap over Cavani after all this shit with his clause. Also heard City are seeing Fred or Cardozo as replacements for Tevez. Now i get an idea why Pellegrini has never won a title. Replacing an on his day worldclass player with a one of those average clowns, maybe City will not be that much of threat next season... nachikethas

He may lack experience in the league, but he has massive talent and almost practically carried Benfica and Paraguay through multiple matches. Pellegrini has done brilliantly at South America, Villareal and Malaga. Teams where he has total control of transfers as well as managerial/tactical aspects of the club. He was poorly axed at Madrid when Ronaldo, Kaka, Benzema etc were not even his transfers and never had any time to build his own team when the likes of Perez (worse than Roman) continues to carry that pathetic Galactico Policy. 11Drogba 2,000
A great striker increases the popularity of the club tremendously. With Lukaku we'll be fine but Cavani would increase our fanbase thus our revenue in the long term.

Mourinho has promised stability as well as Youth integration which has my balls hot. To see homegrown talents of Chalobah and Kane into the first team would truly be spectacular. Popular Post! Henrique 9,133 Posted June 30, 2013 Popular Post! Share Posted June 30, 2013 Chelsea shouldnt pay release clause. Thats why people like De Laurentiis are playing a tough game. We paid 50m for Torres in the past, so they believe Chelsea will pay any price at the end of the day. nono 791
It's not like anyone else is prepared to pay the release clause. We're only bidding against ourselves at this point. Makes no sense paying the release clause.
different level 1,056
It's not really that much about the money. It's all about Napoli (and other clubs) trying to force us to overpay and somehow they believe we will do anything to get what we want and we'll be just sitting there like idiots letting them dictate the terms of the deal. If, in fact, we had sent an offer of £40-45 mil and they went on to reject it with the demand of the release clause, then all I have to say to them and their fans is keep your Matador, you can suck my El Niño.
