Okay guys let me sum it all up for ya. Cavani hasn't decided yet where he wants to play next season. He will be looking for money which probably all the teams will give him if he agrees to join them. He has 3 options: Chelsea, City or Real. Now, at the moment he prefers Real Madrid because it's the biggest team he knows but he is not sure yet. The only thing that can make Cavani join another club is a manager that will persuade him into the team, lucky us we have Mourinho. Mourihno's persuasion is stronger than Pelegrini's and surely is stronger than Madrid's attraction towards Edison.

Cavani will join Chelsea.

He won't fit in a 4-2-3-1 system too well. He's not worth the money for this system. Despite his amount of goals this season his all-round play hasn't been as good since Napoli switched from a 3-4-3 last season to a 3-4-1-2 this season.

Having a player right behind him (Hamsik; Mata) creates confusion for him it seems when tracking back. He prefer to have a big wide space behind him (like in a 4-3-3) for him to run deep into when his team don't have possession. In a 4-2-3-1 he'd be isolated. That formation is pretty much built to get goals out of a striker; hence why there's 3 direct support options; meaning the focus of the striker should be to simply score (anything else is a bonus). Cavani is like Ramires in a way - he runs runs runs, often when he shouldn't. If he runs away from his position in a 4-2-3-1 we've only got our very short support players in attack and none of them are exactly incredible finishers. We'd also have 2 defensive midfielders already deployed in a packed midfield so I could just see constant crashing into eachother.

If we go back to a 4-3-3 (after hearing Jose is a big fan of Ramires I get the feeling we may well do) then Cavani probably is the best fit. In a 4-2-3-1 though the likes of Rooney, even Jovetic and Lukaku should probably be ahead of him when it comes to priorities.

When it looked for the world that Falcao was going to be signing for us, it was he's too one dimensional i would rather get an all round player like Cavani for that money.

Now it looks like we are going to get Cavani, it's that's too much, he's shit for Uraguay, i would rather get a PL proven forward like Rooney.

If the momentum changes and it all off a sudden looks like were getting Rooney, it would be he hasn't performed well for a year, United wouldn't be prepared to sell him to us if he still has "it", for that money i would rather go for Jovetic.
