Certainly does have a lot of good to say about Pep and City....Bloke was itching to leave.

Yeah, doesn’t really say anything about his Chelsea time at all. Looks like he was desperate to hop to City at the first opportunity.

Kova, Jorginho and Kante gone very quickly and suddenly.

All of them had their ups and downs and injury issues, but in the last 5 seasons if you watched Chelsea-games, usually 2 out of them appeared on the field, so pretty much feels end of an era.

Nice!

Would be fine but was it not reported Newcastle were making a £12m bid?

I see Kova goes to City and now he’s a cunt…. typical. Daft move by us.

I am under the impression that the clubs willingness to offload him probably swung his decision to leave, bet he couldn’t believe his luck when City were interested though. Although did say before that the clubs spending last season has hamstrung us and we were always going to he susceptible to selling good players who could still offer something here to our rivals. Think Inter was mentioned months ago when it was originally talked about their being a bit of uncertainty around his future.

But yeah, daft. Not made one midfield signing and thats now Kante and Kova gone as well as RLC looking set to leave and Mount maybe going on a free next summer for the sake of a few million and potentially add ons.

Said it before, our transfer strategy is wank.

When the grass is cut..

You could see the players didnt give a feck last season so Im happy the club is draining the swamp now.

Just get Money Mase away from the club now also.
£55m is a god damned steal for the English Raul Miereles lmao

Money Mase 🤣 Jesus christ. Sorry but how thick can you be?

We are the ones haggling with United over the sake of £3m plus some add ons…. Theres a £55m offer on the table, he wants to go, United willing to match the 200k p/w contract offer we were willing to give him.

Yet hes a money grabber….. have a day off.

Oh so how come ”the new captain” and ”proper Chels” wants to leave then? Why doesnt he accept the 200k we offered him? Not that i think he is worth £55m or 200k p/w. Maybe £25m and 110k p/w. For £55m I would drive him myself to Manchester.

Ofc United will pay him more that we would.

Anybody got an idea what the record income from transfers within a single window is?

Edit: Probably Monaco when they sold Mbappe. Also jesus Atletico paid more than 70m € for Lemar

Who knows?

There has been a huge failing/breakdowns in his contract negotiations since the World Cup though.

Pretty sure he made it clear despite Poch wanting him to resign that his minds made up. Players come and go, doesn’t mean they are money grabbers everytime but its the typical lazy oh their cannot be any other reason for it.

I don't know.

Maybe the same reason why Kai, Kovacic and plenty of others are willing to jump ship so easily?

I really hope I'm wrong on this, but there is something wrong (or was wrong) with the culture at the club last season.

Partly the players fault, but for so many of them to act this way, shows something else.

Hopefully Pochettino can change all of that.

If Bayern offered 70m for Kane we should jump with +100m offer. It would be tempting for them once they realise they have to sell him with one year left on contract.

I would agree if United weren’t also lurking. I feel like they’d match any bid we make and Levy would rather sell him to them than to us.

This!

Quote

Frank Lampard has said he has "no problem" with Chelsea's owners visitingthe dressing room after Todd Boehly told the squad their season

Maybe Frank and Potter are OK with it, but players aren't? Never heard of this practice before tbh. Presidents, owners, usually stay clear unless something major is going on, like a big final. Perhaps not this exclusively, but consider that the established players who want out have experienced a much different dressing room "etiquette" in the past--one they may vastly prefer.
