i think board learn something,,quality over quantity. better spent over 250m for 2 player who's main target rather than 200m for 6 player which's 2nd-5th option. and i agree,,no need to rush buying 2nd-5th option if the end we got bad gameplay & trophyless again like conte last season....

The irony is that Tuchel has not come out and said he wants a ST, has he? It's all just paper talk since the end of last season.

Anyway realistically speaking, while the transfer window may close only on August 31, if there's still nothing moving regarding Haaland after this week or next week, then I doubt a move is gonna happen because the season is starting very soon for Dortmund and selling him then would leave them very little time to find a capable replacement.

The signing of Varane for Manchester United is a matter of hours , at most days. The French center-back will change Real Madrid for the English team after reaching an agreement between the three parties. The French international wanted a new adventure but without being in trouble with the club that catapulted him to fame. It remains now to know if those of Carlo Ancelotti will go to the transfer market in search of a replacement. 

 

Real Madrid and Manchester United are about to make the transfer of Raphael Varane official. The French central reached an agreement with the English team last week , in such a way that he left Real Madrid the final decision of whether or not to accept his departure. The merengue team, which seeks to make money to endorse the signing of Mbappé , wanted to renew it , but by not accepting, they preferred to sell it, to let it go free next summer.

Pretty sure Roman promised him Haaland on the pitch in Porto after CL final.

The comparisions with Conte's summer is bizzare. So far they literally couldn't be any different.

Kovacic and Kante have played together before. Kante will sit more. On the other hand, we have a plethora of dregs who could cover that role more or less so depth is not really the problem, more quality.

They’ve played once. Against Atletico. 
 

The midfield pair is too imbalanced and Tuchel recognised this. I think we are going to start off the season incredibly slow by the look of things. No new transfers and our only sitter returning late. Bakayoko and/or Drinkwater would be a disaster. Gallagher is rumored to leave.

Is 1 month enough for all the fringe players to be sold and all our targets to be signed?

It looks like we're not doing anything this month, I expect us to really push next week. If by the end of next week there's no progress then this board are about to fuck Tuchel over.

Fuming at the fact that Man UTD are signing all these players while we're almost doing nothing.
