Messi yearly would cost 50m (wages) + 50 (amortized fee) + 10m (image rights) + 10 signing bonus (etc). I honestly doubt that messi alone would raise our revenue by 100-120m. If that was the case barca won't be behind united by 200m. Bayern won't be just 20m behind barca despite not having any massive marketable superstars. Ps - just checked. I think we got a couple of millions (if I remember correctly it was 3 million Euros) for selling the clause and get the 10% of a sell. I guess we want to continue the good relationship with Sassuolo.
